Anyone know of any legtimate ways to make money online?
Etsy if you are craftsy.
Wish I was crafsty, but not really. I do computer programming as a hobby, though.
Are you any good with repairing electronics too? I mean even if it's just fairly simple stuff like tearing devices down and swapping in new parts.
I'm thinking along the lines of selling unlocked and rooted android devices...maybe some other stuff too like handheld consoles, and if you do have some skills then retro console mods.
Better off doing it semi-locally unless you're particularly skilled with soldering. Competition and shipping will cut into profit if you do it online.
Well there's always money to be made with things that need repairs here, or unwanted phones that are still network locked and not rooted. I mean a lot of people can't be bothered.
Also damaged screens on handhelds are common enough.
One example of something old (and you can come across them complete for free or next to nothing because some people have no idea) that can be modded fairly easily are the old 5th gen iPod with video. They have an excellent DAC and some audiophiles will pay a decent amount of money for them.
You can get any parts you need from China, and you can swap the HDD for various kinds of storage upgrade (SSD or SD are the common types). Also upgrade the battery for a hueg one.
I don't know if it's an issue there but, usually people here (idiots) will price you out to the point where they aren't even making money.

Yes but that's more of an online problem here. I mean if you look on ebay (or even gumtree) people want money for dead PS3/360 consoles that are in "untested" condition
But you can get plenty of stuff for free or virtually nothing if you know where to look and ask.
