It's the same in both versions.
And that's really more of a primer than a full on tutorial.
It tells you what button does what and shows you the basic way of handling dungeons and whatnot.
Compare to something like FFXIII where they explain every single mechanic in extreme detail, lock you out of abilities for a good chunk of the game, and hold your hand constantly.
For instance, they tell you what the gems are for like once, and they never really go into huge amounts of detail on how to get them or set up overkills. You're on your own with that. Most games would tell you "use ability X to launch, then use Y to hit in the air. Now that your meter is maxed, time and coordinate attacks to maximize gem output".
