While recent events such as this are unprecedented, some would look back to the initial demise of napster as an example. It was followed up by a whole volley of additional sites using the same idea, only it was more diversified. Limewire, morpheus, the pirate bay to an extent... Torrents and peer to peer took a huge leap forward. Myspace collapsed only to make room for facebook. The internet is an ever growing and morphing entity and it is interesting to watch it evolve is all I'm trying to get at... Although i'm sure it's harder for those who weren't alive to see it's beginnings to make some kind of concrete query about my beliefs.
I apologize. I assumed that you were of the younger generation simply on your grammar and etiquette. That happens every now and then.
I don't know what they intend to do with the names they gather, but this is somewhat interesting:

hurry guys! to the derp web!
In all actuality ( link )'Merica is last on the list.
These guys really aren't losing much to piracy in their own country.
From what I know of the world it seems plausible, they quote their source at the bottom. The numbers seem a little high IMO, but not unreasonably. If you want details on the stats you should read up on the source:

Well, I am kinda enew to this, but when this shutdown thing started,
one of the first words that came to my mind was "revolution".
(I cannot say I am "psyched" about this though, I mean, I never uploaded a thing,
but I can see how troublesome this is for the people who did, or even paid for that.)
But yeah, it is probably going to be interesting in the long run, I guess...
Hee, my last console was the Nintendo 64! :P
(And it was stolen from me before highschool... long story... xD)
Anyway, if for some reason the "revolution" will lead to a restrictive Internet, well, I must say then:
too bad for the big companies anyway, because I will not buy anything from them. :pwacko:
The reason? No money for that at all! ^_^ So, it will not change a thing for them as they will
not receive extra profit (at least regarding myself) so the only thing that will change is my mood. :P
Now that I think of, this all seems like "bullying" to me, you know?
(They are just taking the candy of the impotent ones and tossing it on the ground just for "fun"... >.>)
Have all the uploading site's been rapidly deleting there files?Because when i now go to check any post here on emuapradise that has links to download games they are ALL deleted?Strange that the upload services knew what files to delete so quickly but yet kept them on there system prior to the megaupload bust-up.
Where are emuparadise FTP download servers located btw?
