My dad bought a Sears Video Arcade which was a re-branded Atari 2600 when I was 4. We played Skydiver together and I remember laughing maniacally when the skydiver would splat if you didn't deploy the parachute. Spiderman for the 2600 was another game I remember well.

I'm playing since I literally know myself, started with Philips Videopac in '87 or something.
I played Quake 3 Arena, and dat game was like, DAYUUUUUUUUM, this be ballin', and I was like, man, I gots to play more vidya games now.
I do remember some atari like console we had in my family since ever. Basically a pixel bar walking around some automated stairs...No idea what that was tbh...
Started with consoles as a little girl, then when i tried WCIII, AoE, and D2 it was a downward spiral into pc gaming

Wow thats been awhile...
I remember, being realllllly young. Less then 6, when we got a SNES, and watching my older brother play mario, and never let me play it. So when i got a bit older and could start playing myself, I just got sucked in. Maybe true love of the games, maybe a, HAH, im old enough to play and you cant say crap about it now attitude im not sure, but, whatever it was that got me started, still runs strong some 20 years later. Gamer for life now.
My uncle let me borrow his Sega Megadrive (Genesis for you Americans) and a few cartridges, including the original Sonic game.

I remember playing Sonic with my cousins, been hooked to gaming ever since.
Galaga in the theatres got me into gaming then my aunt bought me my first N64 but then I stopped gaming for awhile until I got the PSone
instinct, its in the blood.
When Sonic the Hedgehog 2 came out, my older brother forced me to play Tails to help him beat the game. And thus, my addiction to gaming started.
My parents used to buy my brothers and I those Reader Rabbit games on computer. Well, as we got older, they trusted us enough to start buying us more and more games... and, yea... we stepped up from Reader Rabbit to Doom, Wolfenstein, etc.
I was given a hand-me-down NES set at around age 3, and since then it has become a favorite hobby of mine. As I grew older and continued to play more games, it led me to question how exactly those games were able to work, how they functioned the way that they did. That curiosity led me to my current pursuit of a Computer Science degree.
I'm still considering changing my major, however.
First gaming system was Super Nintendo with Street Fighter II & Super Mario. Those games definitely got me started.
Seeing my brothers mega stash of nes games made me whine for a snes and I've never looked back
