Digital, because you got dat stuff wheneva, and you aint able to lose it
I use both but prefer physical.... i have had a lot of issues with steam and I've pretty much given them up.
definetly both for OS stuff digital for anything else
Its always been a toss up with me. Physical means that if something ever happens to one of the companies involved I don't have too worry about maybe never being able to play my games again. It also means that some games that may need a slightly more capable machine could just have the parts added to them if they are a cartridge. Although if they break I have to either mail it in for a replacement or buy a new one altogether. Digital means that it takes up no physical space, and that I can put it onto physical media if I choose and more than likely still have it work fine. Downside is that I more than likely have to be connected to the internet to use it.
I love the feeling of having a physical copy, but digitals take the cake if only for pure convenience. The steam system is perfect for most gamers.
Physical all the way :)
I'd never let go of my original 1997 FF7 cds even if they somehow refuse to boot nowadays :(
yeah always physical is what i prefer
I like digital. Makes things easy. One click, pay download and go. Simple. Its nice when buying online games that aren't live yet to, so you can play the min servers go live instead of 2 hrs after they go live cause you had to go wait in the store for the midnight release. But, I prefer a hard copy. It's nice to know I have that back up disc, and, there's just something about waiting in line with a bunch of other gamers to get that late night copy. You meet people. It's pretty cool to see who all else plays your game in your area.
I've found myself going for digital copies these days, I blame myself for being too lazy to visit a proper brick and mortar store to pick up a physical copy.
I like digital copies, but I have learned that you can lose them so easily, like I lost one of my gmail accounts without any warning, so I am not in love with them.
Both but depends what game and if collectors edition
like being able to hold a game
im honestly a physicopy guy cant giver a valid reason tho
Physical copies for me mostly so I can find / keep them easily...
i like to have both so that i can either play on my computer or console. nice to have the option.
Is this limitation, you can not save backups
physical
Digital, saves gas and i don't have to wait in line at Gamestop
Of course Physical, its what being a man is.
well I like having a copy for consoles especially for like retro consoles. But for the pc i prefer digital copies because then i don't have to have a disk in the machine when I play it and it can be re-downloaded easily from steam.
physical is the way to go , it's the same thing with ebooks ... though i prefer digital games on pc (steam, they are cheaper) i like the console games to be physical because it just brings these nostalgic feelings with it :D
also it looks cool and who doesn't have a gaming shelf with some nice collector's editions on it ;) ?
Physical copies mostly cause I like collecting things. Also cause in case the servers go down, like PSN did once, I will still be able to play them.
I don't mind Digital Distribution on PCs, as there are painless methods of backing up / sharing game data across multiple systems.
If consoles would make it as easy and convenient to do the same I may change my mind as far as the console space is concerned.
Theres a certain infatuation associated with buying and unboxing a new game that digital usually can't provide.
Or at least, its been that way for me for the longest time. With everything going to minimalistic packaging and small carts/DVDs/Blurays, that feeling as starting to diminish. I miss the days where games came in huge, brightly colored decorative boxes. Pokemon HeartGold won me over partially due to this very reason. (Nostalgia, the box, and the fact that its a fantastic game)
I'm a collector so I can't get into the whole digital craze yet, very convenient yes but I love having the copies in my hand.
Physical cause I love getting them earlier then the early digital release and flaunting it over my friends who don't have the hook up
Browsing digital is easier
i want want both copies i have my reasons that hard to explain lol
Physical copies, back in the day, there was no such thing as digital. >:C
I like swapping between stuff without having to deal with discs
Prefer physical, but digital is easy to get for sure :)
lololololo
I still buy physical copies for my consoles, digital all the way for PC with Steam (and maybe a bit of pirating). Digital is a pain in the ass waiting for the download on Australian internet though..
I like both digital and physical. They both have their benefits definitely. With physical copies, you can lend your friend the game to try out; you can't do that with digital games, but the digital games are easier and faster for you personally to acquire.
I am one of these who preffer digital copies. I remember the first year of steam, and formating a computer, was easier with it. In the past, I had to swap in cds and cds in order to build again my usual gameplaying collection, but after steam, just right click, install, and leave it all night.
Physical. Too much can go wrong not to have a physical copy
physical
Physical copies
I like physical, something about seeing it is always better.
Both! One for cheap indie games, and another for those giant projects. But if I had to choose one of the other, I would have to go with the traditional way as physical copy is just too much of an eyecandy to get rid of entirely. ;)
