The PSP is technically stronger than the DS, but look how much more awesome is on the DS. Hopefully there's a lot more support for actual consistent quality through its lifetime.

All the people talking about the price of the Vita is pissing me off.
You know, us South Americans have our currencies devaluated as hell, on top of absolutely insane taxes for any imported goodies.
Where I live, electronic goods are mostly prohibited in terms of importation.
I dare say it'll cost about 2K here (which would be 500 U$D) AT BEST.
No kidding.
STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT THE PRICE, GOD DAMN IT!!
And besides, why is the PSP disliked so much?
Myself I still can't believe of what the system is capable of and I wouldn't trade it for anything...
One thing I already dislike about the Vita is... its' name.
I won`t be buying one straight away but will wait for a few months for the price to drop. New consoles are always exspensive to begin with but drop in price very quickly.
I think the success of this new psp will depend on the quality of the software. Does anyone know about which games will be available on release?
I have been told that this new psp is pretty much a portable ps3. How cool would BF3 portable be?
They just need third party support, which the PSP didnt have. It doesn't help when the system has been out for about 6 1/2 years and they only have 674 games in respective regions (of course Japan is the most, but it doesnt mean they have all 674).
The console seems very good and it's worth paying this money i most get one of those
I dont know if this was already stated on an earlier page, but the PS Vita is [supposed to be] region free--which is a plus
As far as getting one right off the bat goes, Im not so sure I want to. When the PSP came out it was super popular (where I was growing up) and i wanted one, unfortuantely I couldn't afford one due to that lack of funds. Now that I have money and an unhealthy love for technology I could easily see myself buying one. Sony, however, is a big fan of constant updates/upgrades and I think I will end up waiting to see what they change and/or the various firmware updates that they will make will to it in the first few months of release.
Its not so much that I am worried about the lack of games [Blaz Blu, LBP, and a few others interest me off the bat] its moreso the hardware and potentially the swarm of lawsuits / "hacker" groups that may or may not ruin the experience for the non-hacking demograph.
Just a thought...

Also i love how quite a few people are calling the PS Vita a console
