I think you've taken the best option in this matter Kouen. Should he manage to go with it properly and handle it well, then you can loosen the restrictions. For now, this is probably the best option.
Again though - be careful. Kids can be annoyingly good at circumventing computer limitations. You're bloody good at handling computer systems though, so you should be good. Just keep a watchful eye. :P
Incidentally, speaking as the one who made Minecraft in another plot to take over the world (youdidnotreadthis), I would advise you to loosen the restrictions active immediately, or retribution will follow.
