I meant, he posted at 5 AM that the new server is online and the forums are back, and a bunch of people after that posted, and then 17 hours later, I finally get access to the forums after they're "reopened".
Were you visiting forums.emuparadise.org? Because I think epforums.org came up first. I know the different urls were running differently while it was down, but I didn't pay much attention to both when it came up.
Actually, forums.emuparadise.org shows the UPDATE notice and that stuff, so the good link is epforums.

No, the point is that while the forums had moved to the new address and were functional, the address epforums.org was STILL pointing to the old server in many places all over the world.
That's why many people were still going to the old forum server and seeing the 'updation' message. It's just a DNS issue since DNS still has to propagate the world over and update.
Also, some new updates, check the first post in the thread : )
That's confusing. >_> Why did one URL update to the new server, but not the second? Why did epforums.org point to the new servers, and not forums.emuparadise.org?
For that matter, why are there two EPforums urls anyway? :P Is there some deep and sordid history? A civil war between two factions of EP? :D
Not really, epforums is the new addy and forums.emuparadise is the old one, but both have been working so far. The civil wars are yet to come :P
