just need to fill in those gaps that are the 'unknown titles' now ;)
Actually there's more missing than that--a couple thousand of the PAL games that were made in only one language.
At least that's what I was told in a PM that I got today from someone who knows the person who made that list.
And it turns out the page with the list that I found is still up after all.
Apparently the maker of the list recently changed the URL of the page with the list, and Google still has the old URL in it's listings.
Here's the one Google lists:
http://illusionoflife.com/PSXindex.html
Here's the Google page that lists the old link--it's the 4th one down, at least it was when I last checked.
http://www.google.com/search?q=SLES-00298
Here's the correct URL--the one you should all bookmark/add to your favorites:
http://www.illusionoflife.com/PSXindex_namesort.html
So, what happened is I did a search in Google for SLES-00298, and stumbled onto the link for the old page.
So, basically this is all Google's fault :D
Anyway, now I know at least who created this list, and thus deserves all the credit. If you go to the guy's homepage: http://www.illusionoflife.com/ and check his rsum, you'll see his name at the top of the rsum.
This list is missing all the REAL demos (the kind that play pretty tunes and make your jaw drop in amazement at the coding skillz of the nerd who wrote em) Check out PS1 in the productions section of www.pouet.net in order to find those to add.
Well, he changed the link again.
The good news is that he also added a PS2 and PSP master list.
Here's the page with the links to the lists.
http://www.illusionoflife.com/sony_index.htm
Here's the site's main page (in case he changes the other link again)
http://www.illusionoflife.com/
hi, just popping a post here on behalf of the writer of that master list :)
(its been dubbed the SonyX project)
if anyone has any serials for titles that arent on that list please pm me them so he can add them to make it complete (mostly short on pal serials as the writer of that list is in the states) also were currently working on adding the languages to the pal titles (ie: EN , SP , FR ,GE ,IT etc etc) so also any help with that would be appreciated
so if anyone can help fill those gaps please by all meens do :D
thanks in advance
forgot to add this before if your wanting to know the serial of a game you can find it by looking in the main folder on the cd it will be names SLUS_000.01 or something to that effect this is also handy for finding out what region a game is
I beleive there is a mistake for one of the Finial Fantasy multi disc games I'll double check that sometime later and give a quick PM (I think it was 8 the US version)
cool thanks ,
i was thinking of making a post for getting people to help out adding serials to that database to make it complete as im sure many traders / collecters here will have some titles that arent in that list :)
ill probably put it in the emulation section i think thats best place for it
SLES-02965 : Final Fantasy IX [Disc1of4] [Original and Platinum Editions] [E]
SLES-12965 : Final Fantasy IX [Disc2of4] [Original and Platinum Editions] [E]
SLES-22965 : Final Fantasy IX [Disc3of4] [Original and Platinum Editions] [E]
SLES-32965 : Final Fantasy IX [Disc3of4] [Original and Platinum Editions] [E]
The list was fixed anyway the original list didn't even mention the SLES disc4 but still doesn't mention the Platinum version it was 9 and the UK version so I got that totally wrong lol
ah right thanks for the info :) ,
well its forever being updated as soon as new serials are found ill need to say to him to add the fact ff IX has the same serial for plat as orriginal release (i think the other version he had listed is german but he hasnt got round to adding the languages to the index yet) ... as u can imagine its gonna be a lot of work hehe
Hmm in the Everything Emulation section, you could do if you wanted or you could put it in General Gaming
If your a collector yourself I just completed a nice lil hack of Resident Evil and uploaded it in the YouSendIt thread http://forums.emuparadise.org/showpo...postcount=2256
nice one ... im not as handy with tools for psx stuff as that , im kind of a collecter but the collection pretty much stopped when i got every rpg with english text known lol now i only really download random titles or try to find new serials (would take me to long to get every game ever made and god forbid the hard drive / cd space needed for it lol)
It's actually very possible that we find 2 different FF9 platinum editions with 2 different serials, even if both are PAL UK or PAL FR.
I've seen it before
"Other proud member of SonyX who has no clue yet of how to have a signature"
I actually have a game that is not on the list.
SLES-03069 : ECW Anarchy Rulz
And here's proof:
http://forums.emuparadise.org/attach...id=15306&stc=1
Here's the link to the above site:
http://www.mogelpower.de/cheats/ECW-...-PAL_9172.html
segnin can i just really say thankyou ... thanks to that site u brought to light theres about 100 more new serials to be added to the index :) (a lot of which were german releases etc)
the list itself is yet to be updated as he is at work but once again i must really thank you :)
Not to sound like I'm bitching, but that's not exactly proof...
Of course,I know that there's no reason these serials would'nt be valid, but...that's still not like it's 100% proof...is it, Topaz ? ;)
Well, I don't know about the other serials, but I do know that SLES-03069 : ECW Anarchy Rulz really exists because I have the game, and when I mounted it to a virtual drive. that was its serial number.
I'll upload the game to BT next week and you can download it and see for yourself.
*whistles innocently and stays out of this*
another code found in my collection :D
SLES-00032 Grand Theft Auto (Grand Theft Auto Collectors' Edition CD1of3) [E]
SLES-03389 Grand Theft Auto - Mission Pack #1 - London 1969 (Grand Theft Auto Collectors' Edition CD2of3) [E]
SLES-01404 Grand Theft Auto 2 (Grand Theft Auto Collectors' Edition CD3of3) [E]
The codes for Grand Theft Auto Collectors' Edition CD1 and CD3 have already been listed though but the same codes are on the Collectors CD's aswell
SLES-03389 is new though
The CD's are labled as
SLES-00032/COLL.
SLES-03389/COLL.
SLES-01404/COLL.
/COLL. is not part of the games main exe's name though
P.S. do you want scans of CD's as proof or anything?
thanks for those zorlon :D passed them onto him now
dont really need scans as proof there more optional than anything :)
It was just an idea because I could be making all this up :P
I could even change the code for any PSX games main exe and even go as far as to change the code used in a save game, so even from that point it's not all that hard to fake it though thats going a lil too much out the way just to fake something.
Found another one in my collection:
Colony Wars 3 - Red Sun [PAL] SCES_019.24
http://forums.emuparadise.org/attach...id=15863&stc=1
cool thanks for that one ive passed it on :)

hi,
thanks for the additional serials i passed them on , the list is missing quite a few of the pal OPM demo's as theres the uk releases and then german , french releases etc so there going to be quite difficult to track down :S
i have every pal opm demo i think, and nearly all station mag demos (station mag is an unoffical mag) they only made about 12 demos though,
ill post a list soon + other games.
i also own a lot of 1 off demos that are not on the list
oh and i found that "The hunter" PAL is not on the list, i uploaded it to ysi in the
ysi mania thread ill post the code if i find my disc, or you could just dl it (its 32mb)

wow cool thanks passed on that little load btw are all your titles on cd in data form or in psx form? as theres a program that can find the serials (the more recent version which is still getting tweaked can also check the img , bin , mdf or iso within archives such as RAR , 7Z , ZIP (once its sorted ill see about getting it here ) :) just wondering if that would make it any easier for you ... the program can also rename the rar to display the serial comes up as follows
Game Name [SXXX-XXXXX]
EG: Ridge Racer [SCES-00001]
it cant rename the image and bin inside the archive but if its used on an uncompressed image it can rename that and also re target the .cue / .ccd files etc accordingly
ALL codes i post are from the original discs, i just readQuote:

:D passed those ones on as well thanks , wasnt sure what format they were in was just thinking if they were backed up on a drive somewhere would had made your life easier hehe
once again thanks for helping us out with this not too many people seem to have the demo's
ThatS ok, i bought every psx mag that came out,
some of them like the station mag demo's are very rare.
and the essentail playstation mags (another unofficail psx mag that didnt last long) the demos that came with that are like gold dust, i only found 1 in my collection up to now.
also im gonna look for more of the macdonalds demo's (they came free with happy meals about a year or so ago) there pretty modern so im not suprised there not included on the list.
but after this lot of codes im going to take a short break from code hunting.
But ill be back soon.

Oh and all the Demo codes i posted there all UK releases
and i hope you dont get confused with the UK opm releases,
they did vol.1 first then vol.2 and then after a while they scraped the volume idea and just numbered them,
so for example there may be 2 opm demo 1,2,3,4,3 and so on.
this confuses the hell out of me.
and one last question, do you plan on starting a ps2 master list?
hi, well there probably not in the index as the main person who is compiling it is in the usa so pal releases are a little out of his reach
and we have allready started a ps2 and psp index the post in my siggy will give you the respective links for them
ill pass on those serials as well thanks for the help with this :) i know a us demo collector but seems your the only pal demo collector ive come accross hehe
