Bah! Mexican bands suck arse... Only decent thing I can think of is Caf Tacuba and that's a bit old... :S
The rest is just a bunch of commercial pop crap...
Man sucks major cock chunks...
Fobia's... old...
So the only worthwhile Mexican band left is Radio Head... It fuckin' rules!! =D
Oh, my... I so pity you... :PQuote:

Finch is my favorite band right now. They're a lot better than the other punk metal bands such as The used or story of the year.
Lol, a metal band from Puerto Rico would be interesting. :P
Coheed and Cambria (America)
BTW.
I listened Pandemonium. Recomend to all others.
Nice black (i think).
Jet is an Aussie band FYI.Quote:

Chuck Jet in there as well as I have no idea where they're from.
DJ Shadow (America)
Pandemonium is Melodic Death metal. Check out In Flames if you liked it(my fav. band). We've mentioned lots of similar bands on my thread about In Flames. Black metal is stuff like Cradle of Filth(but this band is lame), Dimmu Borgir, Bathory, Behexen, or Marduk. It's hard to mistake BM for other genres, most bands sound very "sloppy" and it's very ugly music unless you've developed a liking for it(like me :D). If you don't like BM though, I reccomend Venom. I think you'll like it even if you don't like BM.Quote:

I love DJ Shadow. I can't stop listening to the album Endtroducing. The other ones are ok, but I'm not a big fan of funk music. "Organ Donor" and the Organ Donor remix are so awesome.
More like Melodic Death with Doom-influences.Quote:

=)
Damn... I thought its black (well, because of vocals)
Then, i suck.
Anyway, im not a big fan of black or death metal.
I only like Burzum and Napalm Death (but its more grindcore).
And, why others dont post linx to mp3? Id like to hear
other countries bands (not those damn popular usa)
Well, it's hard to find free legal mp3's of bands on sites. :P Just go to any band's official site, like this new Swedish band called In Battle. Not bad at all.
I've been listening to a lot of Mgo de Oz, from Spain. Wow, I didn't think they were this good, I had only listened to their earlier stuff. I reccomend everyone to listen to "Fiesta Pagana", awesome folk metal. Nothing like Finntroll though. :P
Pretty different, but still, both are folk metal. Heard of Cruachan? Good irish folk metal band. You should try Elvenking and Tuatha De Dannan :bounce:Quote:

Good bands from France??
mmmh... Noir Desir! Very good rock band with interesting lyrics and energetic music. I advise you their album of 1996: 666 667 Club.
I like listening to a female singer called Keren Ann, she's got a very nice voice, although her lyrics are a little sad. There are a LOT of "commercial" pop bands, like Kyo (the name is taken from King of Fighters, but the music sucks). Mickey 3D is fun to listen to.
There is also many interesting rap singers in France, try IAM [L'Ecole du Micro D'Argent], Bisso na Bisso, MC Solaar, Passi, or Zebda (if you prefer reggae)
And if you like electro, I would say:
- Daft Punk
- Air
- Cassius
- Avril...
What about Laurent Garnier? hes basically the godfather of french djs. XD
Yes, but I'm not a great fan of techno music (except the "trance" or "dream" music)! But you're right, he was one of the most popular DJ's in France a few years ago, before the huge success of Daft Punk's first record (Homework)!
Etienne de Crcy is also well known (Tempovision is great!)
Arrgh... Noir Desir, the guy sounds like a friggin assraped crack addict, I heard the singer beat his wife to death(or was it some other French band's vocalist). My sister listens to that crap cause she loves anything that has to do with France. She could at least listen to a decent French band. :P
Daft Punk is awesome, I prefer DJ Doboy though.
Koyi-K-Utho, Toxic (Colombia)
Mago de Oz, is the biggest sellout in history. The other day I heard these 12 year old girls singing their songs. I agree they have some catchy songs like Satania, or Finisterra. They even have a good one. Fiesta Pagana all about communism.
Soeru, you're right, Noir Desir's singer has accidentely killed his girlfriend, everyone in France has heard of this affair! But that doesn't mean that all the music he's made before is crap!
In all case, ND is a very good band, but that's my opinion (and I like that voice) ;) The lyrics are often very interesting.
There's other rock French bands that are worth the look: Eiffel, Tarmac, Louise Attaque, Les Wampas...
About DJ Doboy, I didn't know that he was French...
I like way too many bands. Okay! Here it goes, most of them are American by the way.

Neither did I. :wacko:Quote:

Uh... Fiesta Pagana is not about communism, it's about the Spanish Inquisition and how bad the Pagans got oppressed in Spain during the dark ages. And... sellouts? I've only met 2 people in Spain that know of the existence of Mago de Oz. They aren't famous, therefore they aren't mainstream... therefore they aren't sellouts. :DQuote:

They have a few ballad-ish songs which don't amuse me... then again, so does the awesome band Helloween. Just cause they tried a bit softer stuff it doesn't mean they're sellouts.
Just wondering, but do all bands that are not "True Norsk Black Metal" seem like sellouts to you?
As Hao said, Metallica are the biggest sellouts in metal history. Fuck what Cradle of Filth, Slipknot, or Dimmu Borgir did, Metallica are the true sellouts.
PS> Metallica still owns though, just not their last 2/3 albums.
Rush.
You know you love Rush, dont deny it.
I like Metallica, Iced Earth, Slayer, Black Sabbath, Sevendust, Etc. But my favorite band is Metallica. My favorite bands from another country are Evergrey (Sweden), and Iron Maiden (UK)
well my favourite band from my country would be Dungeon, a power thrash band from sydney. Just think of maiden but heavier and faster with some of the best guitar solos ever.
I'm from the United Kingdom.
Dukes Of Nothing
Super Furry Animals
Led Zepelin
Orange Goblin
Therapy?
Nitzer Ebb
Godflesh
Wildhearts
Acrimony
Killing Joke
Iron Maiden
Helvis
Manic Street Preachers
T-Rex
Beatles
Black Sabbath
Charger
Black Eye Riot
Baby Chaos
Iron Monkey
Salad
Three Colours Red
Portishead
Blur
Mine is Tool
From my country? Well, most American bands suck (IMO) but I'd have to say the following bands are my favorite US bands:
Danzig
The Misfits
Murderdolls
Narcissus (I command you to order their new album from Century Media.)
The Avalanches (Are they American? I'm not sure)
Iron Maiden
Avenged Sevenfold
Godhead
Tool
Err....I'm sure there's a few more, but I can't think of em at the moment.
New Zealand.
The Clean
Darcy Clay
Deja Voodoo
Split Enz
Fat Freddy's Drop
Chris Knox's various stuff (The Enemy, which I have a couple of bootlegs of - they never made any albums, Toy Love, Tall Dwarfs, blah blah)
The Gordons
Then there are all those poppy and ocassionally somewhat proggy anthems that I never stop hearing but more importantly never tire of, by bands including Dragon, The Exponents, Crowded House and the Mutton Birds.
Supertones, Tree63 (oh wait they're South African), FIF, Switchfoot, and possibly the Blue Devils.
edit: USA, and they're in order.
Iron Maiden is from England. :|Quote:
