It's sickening how out-of-touch Nintendo is. We could all write up a nice essay on what Nintendo's been doing wrong here, yet somehow these businessmen are managing to fail so hard.

And yet, I still bought a 3DS... and love it, somehow. Damn you, Nintendo. At least I get 10 GBA games of which only one I actually want.
That is a butt fuck from nintendo. That's pissing me off. >.< I bought a 3DS Hoping to get some good games on VC, apparently not anymore.=/ I was really hoping for Metroid: Fusion. Or even Warioware, maybe if they bring out Pokemon Emerald and all those games then I'll have high hopes for Nintendo. Right now, it's al gone down.Quote:

HELL YES free games that i "technically" already paid for buy spending $90 more to get my 3DS early!
Yes same here! I bought mine for only 40$. :) I was glad to read this, I Googled: "What's a nintendo ambassador?" and then the CNEt thing came up, read it, then found out that we can get these games for free if we bought our 3DS early, AND we get on the eShop before August 12. So I'm a happy camper right now and I can't wait for my 20 free games. :)

Gamestop lol.=P I traded in my Wii and a LOT of other things to get it. So I only paid 40$.=P

Thanks Nintendo I do appreciate this and am sure this gives me as well as a lot of other people a reason to impulse buy (I am being serious and not sarcastic). I think this was a really intelligent move for you to make.
its funny cause they STILL are profiting from console sales cause the parts to make one 3DS cost a little under $100

i knew Nintendo will do something like this cuz PSP Vita is comming this Holidays at the same price the 3DS lunch at, that's why i was holding my self on getting one early LoL , now is time to get one with OoT on board
A few things
1) Some people when buying it now, to get the 20 free games, are going for a price match, so they get the 3ds for $170+20 free games. I thought i'd point that out. HOWEVER, it seems Amazon has frozen 3DS sales, so be careful where you buy it, if you want to try this. I'd say go for it.
2) Employees At Nintendo are taking cuts too. Iwata is taking a 50% Salary Cut, and a few others are getting a more and a few other less (30%+ cuts for others). They are now selling the 3DS at a loss too.

By price match, I suspect he means they're abusing store policies of "find a cheaper price and we'll match it" to pick up the 3DS for the reduced price early, then connect for Ambassador and their free games. Basically, getting their cake and eating it, too, but I'd think that stores would know that the reduction doesn't take place until the 12th.Quote:
