Not entirely true. If you're watching it on Crunchyroll or Hulu, that's completely legal, no question. You're effectively paying for it by watching the ads, as part of the ad money goes to the operation of the website and part goes to the license owners. It's the same as watching it on television. When you download it, the only people getting paid by their ads are the owners of the site you download from.

I've never looked into either. My internet at home is too poor to stream. Makes sense though.

Anime Ratio is dubs only (if not dubs/subs are separate categories).
