Pokemon is fine, people just nitpick at it a lot. you do not -have- to use 5th Gen pokemon.
Dragon ball z games will go on as long as fans demand them, myself being a fan have no problem with this.
Silent Hill and resident evil are both screwed because developers fail.

Games that should go on forever in my opinion are The Elder Scrolls, and Castlevania(Because Dracula does stuff every 100 years or some shit)

games that will inevitably go on regardless of how bad they will be. Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, Call of Duty, Halo, and I'm sure many many more.

sports games (F1, FIFA, NBA) should definitively stop to get a new game each year...

Madden series should die. Now. Right now.

Series That Should Go On Forever: The Legend of Zelda, The Elder Scrolls.

Series That Should Die Out: Call of Duty, Guitar Hero, Tony Hawk, and pretty much any Activision IP.

Series That Should Go On: Fallout, Any of the Megaten series (Persona, Digital Devil Saga & others) & Dragon Quest

Series That Should Stop Now: Final Fantasy, Pokemon, Gears of War & Halo.

Series that could go on forever: Parasite Eve, Shadow Hearts
Other series that should stop: Halo, Final Fantasy (started declining with FFX, died with FF XIII for me), Call of Duty... and much more

9 was the last stop for me, great game.

Games that should go on: Dino Crisis, Megaten series, Dino Crisis(you can tell I love this series), and Tsukihime/Melty Blood
Games that should stop :Final Fantasy (7 wasn't THAT good guys, I personally didn't like it, loved 8 though) Every first person shooter that isn't Doom or Duke Nukem,
and Sports games (I'd rather just go out and play the sport irl)

your insane 7 is way better than 8....FF should of stoped after 7 cuz everything after that was garbage..thats just my opnion however
