Really!?
So... the iphone 4 could potentially be able to handle something as intensive as MGS4??
Holy crap.
Of course, this is probably just me being an idiot as usual.

i would love to play ps2 games on the ngp.
not sure if it was real or not ( probably not) but i recall seeing a guy play tony hawk pro skater 4 on the ngp.
I doubt it.
It could handle MGS4 in much the same way the PSP could handle MGS2/3.
Which is to say sorta but not really.
Plus it wouldn't be able to output in the same resolution the PS3 can, so it'd be another case of the portable console dropping graphics significantly and therefore not really needing as much power to run the "same" game.
The system isn't out yet. At this point, any claims made about it should be taken with adequate amounts of salt. Overstatement of specs happens all the time, especially with Sony.
It is a terrible name, but portable consoles always have terrible names. Usually unoriginal terrible names that reek of not trying at all.
I think they dropped PS2 support on the PS3 because they developed an emulator or something for PS3 that caused many glitches in some games, and since the games wouldn't play like they were meant to be played, they dropped support for it. They've had a few years to work out the problems, so maybe they'll have something working by the time the NGP comes out that takes a lot less power than a PS3 or PC PS2 emulator that plays them properly just like playing ps2, except unless they figure out how to map the l2/r2 to the back or front touchpad, it wont control like it was originally made, so they might just not even develop ps2 support, especially since Sony knows how many ps2 units were sold, I would assume that they assume at least half of those people still own a ps2, so theres no need. They could also remake ps2 games to run on the ngp perfectly, so they could sell them at a full ngp game price instead of a cheaper PSN price.
they would just probly release new ps2 titles on it and give them more content like they did with p3p on the psp. unless they do i am sticking with the 3ds, at least that tells everyone what its doing, playing a ds in a third dimension lol. they should have stuck with psp2 but then again what do i know, since i like nintendo i am not classified to say anything but will anyways.
edit: even if they didnt add ps2 support, you would always have someone out there who would hack the ngp and make a ps2 emu for it.
