I'm getting the limited edition on launch day. Can't wait. :]
Whats so special about the limited? I like when games come with the OST, but they seem to not do this recently...
This game looks quite a bit better than "old spiderman comics" imo :lol

I think the reason most people were going for Limited (Or the reason I was, until I found out they were sold out) is for the free DLC Jill and Shuma Gorath when they come out. Probably ends up saving you money if you were gonna get them anyway, unless they come out for less than 5 bucks each (Which they probably won't)... Oh, and the metal box and comic and whatever.
36 characters is a small roster? Smaller than MVC2, yeah, but like Krisan alluded to that's probably a good thing.
If you bought it at the Capcom store you could get 10% off on it and free shipping, which amounted to pretty much the same exact price as the standard edition. Not to mention the special edition came with a certificate that let you download the first two DLC characters for free, which themselves are likely to cost $10 or so.. Honestly, the entire special edition boxset was a steal for what was included. (Hell, buying it from Capcom's Store even meant they threw in a free T-Shirt for you.)
You're right, it's not really small at all. But I didn't feel like arguing that point at the time.. I'm not sure how anyone can complain about it honestly, the roster is relatively diverse in terms of playstyles available, and a helluva lot more balanced than what was available in MvC2. (Read: Half the roster isn't total crap.)
Picking up this bad boy on the 360, can't wait!!! I agree with everyone, the roster on this game is miles better and more balanced than on Marvel vs. Capcom 2.
And yet, wheres my Strider. Or Jin.
those were some iconic MvC characters and to lack them is seriously sadfaced inducing.
Ill pick the game up on PS3 when I get around to it, but a lack of those two and the more amusing characters like Son-Son and Servbot really kind of killed it for me.
(seriously, bringing back crap like Sentinel but not Servbot? Pfft.)
