Find me one guy who doesn't take issue with being disrespected.
Cop is a cop.
Myeah... You got drunk, it's not your fault. :eyeball:
All in all, you sound like a dumb kid.

Cop needs to lay off the roids. Kid needs to learn to recognize cops on roids.
cop was wrong, kid should have just shut is mouth.
Haha, just got to the end of the video. Just before it ends, it sounds like the cops about to say.
"If I find myself on youtube"
That's crazy talk!
Meh... The cop just wanted a reason to exercise his power over the kids, in my eyes. He snaps at them with almost no provocation. There's giving people a stern talking to, and then there's just acting like a control freak. The kids weren't as respectful as I might've been in such a situation (to be fair, I've never been stopped by a policeman, and would probably be scared stiff ^_^), but I don't think they were especially disrespectful, all things considered. Certainly not to begin with, anyway.
Besides, it's not like he had caught them smuggling drugs or anything. It was an incredibly petty offence to get so worked up about. And I don't know... At that age, I think you're more likely to respect someone who is cool about things, and just explains the situation to you like you were an adult, rather than someone who talks down to you... I'd just have wanted to rebel more were I met with such a situation at that age. ^_^
Did he act within his power, though? Probably, had he not touched the kid. He's perfectly entitled to take the skateboard, and probably even to fiercely berate the kids, under the guise of 'discipline'. But physically abusing the kids, even on such a minor scale? That's getting into pretty dodgy territory...
Exactly, they were both in the wrong, but the cop was obviously and idiot, and the kid, well, he's a kid.
Thing is, it did start off well. Then, he... snapped? I'd like to hear clearly what the kids say. All I can understand is when the cop is talking.
EDIT:
And, according to your previous post, the same applies to you. See, cop or not, everyone can act like that. Sure, being in that kind of a position sorta implies that you need to cool down, but still. We're all humans, and no one should be held to higher standards than others.Quote:
Yeah, but cops seems to have this huge ego, that makes them look like douche bags. They think they're hot shit or royalty.
Too true. I guess it depends. I know SOME like 2 cops that let us do whatever. But for the most part, from what I've seen, they take their job a hell of a lot too seriously.
Kid probably said "whatever", or "Okay dude". Cop didn't like being called dude, even though it's the most used word for a skater. XD
I guess there could have been something muffled that explains his outburst, yeah. ^_^ But from what's present in the video, it really looked to me like he's just looking for someone to take his frustration out on, and pounces on the first excuse the kids give him.
Again, I think it's silly to do things that you know aren't legal and then complain when you're caught. But...I can't feel especially sympathetic to either party here. <_<;

 Nice one asshole...FINE.
Agreed, yeah. ^_^
And I don't know, Librå. It's a job that needs to be taken seriously, I think. ^^;;; Maybe not to the point where you verbally break anyone who commits even the slightest infraction, but certainly to the point where you're fair and even-handed, and don't just laugh off what are, trivialities aside, still violations of the law.
I know, I believe officers should never let their guard down, be stern and back up the law, but acting like an ass, and screaming at someone for any slight reason possible for whatever reason (more than likely steroids or a power-trip), just makes cops in general and the guy himself, look like jackasses.
