$500 sounds a lot to me, saying that I could have a decent enough computer for £200, well since I've got some of it already ;P

Sorry I thought you were talking about my current hard drive, not my bro's PS2 one.....and no I think the only stuff he has on there are a few Socom 3 maps (which you actually had to buy a magazine with a CD on them just to get), and maybe his FF11 save data. MAYBE if enough people can convince me to play FF11, or if I can somehow find a way to hook my PS2 up to my internet wirelessly, then I will just not wipe out that hard drive and leave FF11 on it, maybe even play it for a month or two....
And as far as the other replies...I will definitely take into consideration all of these different parts, but know that I don't need it for heavy gaming, and I don't need it for any processor or memory-intensive tasks. Just casual gaming, internet browsing and email, and the occasional burning of CD's/DVD's. I'll see how my budget looks within a month or two, and keep everyone posted.
Again did you read the thread :P
Screw it that game sucks :P I personally wouldn't even bother trying, but if your strapped for cash and/or don't want to spend money on a new hard disk then google around and see if you can find a way to convert it ;)
