I think that one HDMI port really is dying - sometimes it doesn't even register that anything is connected. Shit. I really can't afford another tv right now if the other one goes too.

Have you tried switching ends? Sometimes that helps for a while. Meaning unplug the HDMI cable, plug the end that was in the PS4 into the TV...
If you do it while there's a signal running through the wire it can cause a short, at least in older TV's.
I've tried a few devices all with their own cords. Once in awhile one works (back and forth) But less and less now.
If I had a soldering iron I suppose I could rip open the back somehow and at least have a look. Could be that simple I guess. Never opened up one of these things before so :dread:
Plugging hdmi cables in and out a lot has been known to weaken ports.
I didn't do so very much beforehand either.
Don't keep swapping things on those ports :lol
Buy a cheap hdmi switch they're cheaper to replace than a whole tv.
I have no choice if I wanna play the Xbox :(
I can get a new tv by Christmas (I want a new one anyways if you'll recall) maybe sooner. Hopefully this will last for a few months.
I'm certainly not going to use it on my little 720p tv :P
Even if you get a new tv the same thing could happen, no matter what brand or how expensive it is. Ok if it's under warranty then it can be fixed but it's still a bloody hassle.
Get a switch it's insurance :booger:
wtf are you swapping anyway? You only have an Xbone I don't understand why you'd need to swap anything
I only have 2 ports on the tv. So PC and Xbone now have to be on one. Plus my cable but I guess I could always use a composite cable with it - if in fact I ever actually want to watch tv :P
Plus the 360 which I haven't bothered with in ages anyways. And is now in fact along with my PS2 plugged into my little 720p tv. And on my PC too (I like having a second little screen for my music player or gameguides)
Just ditch the cable tv altogether. Is that bundled with your internet or what?
Also do you mean component when you say composite? Composite is SD.
Aw dammit that was my last smoke :(
Thought I had another pouch but nope.
No. It has everything on the cable box, including component. Even a coax. Hell it even has a usb for some reason. Optical audio out and a weird extra digital thing for something else. Oh and some odd - well it says extra serial on it. And an ethernet port. Think I only have composite cables atm.
I could take a picture
