I'm eating fava beans which always reminds me of Silence of the Lambs.
@Grouch
I'm going to make a mod for Fallout 4 that consists of two settlement alarms. One is a sound trap that plays Beat It spawning Michael Jackson and the other is an alarm playing Undertaker's theme over a loudspeaker when it detects enemies on ground radar that spawns Undertaker when they get too close to the alarm tower.

They're synth coursers, unlocked if you join The Institute and they teleport. Synthetic recreations with their memories of the past like Nick.

I'm undecided about adding Taylor Swift as a synth courser. It would be more interesting for her to be an initiate in the Brotherhood of Steel as an undercover agent. The BoS is genocidal toward synths, their leader Paladin Danse is a synth and when she finds out she mercs him. I hate that self-hating hypocrite and I never join the BoS anyway so it's a fitting alternate storyline, instead of Danse as a companion you get Taylor Swift in power armor as replacement from The Institute faction. One thing about Fallout 4 is all the factions except The Minutemen and The Railroad are at each other's throats and The Institute is Shaun's faction so joining it as one of his parents should be a no-brainer.

Question is, is Script Extender working? Bethesda borked it with next-gen 'update' and I haven't used it since.
love the beat idea.
I like the BOS at least once you get into their ranks before that most are major dicks but I feel like they are also misunderstood. The faction I like the most in NV are the Followers I also like the Kings.
speaking of FO 4 are the Followers in 4? there's no in game lore stating they've made it that far to the east.
One of the coolest if not the coolest of NPCs in Fallout 4 is Sturges, one of the Sanctuary Minutemen survivor party members. He's a synth and Danse would murder him outright, not cool.
So as for Danse in an alternate storyline mod.
"An express ticket to hell, ya' dig?" ~ Sturges
He'd summarily execute Nick Valentine, not cool.
AFAIK there are mods for FO4 introducing NV content. And yes the Kings and Followers are very cool.
Beat It and Undertaker theme playing at the same time is a cool mix, the K.O.P sound trap is not as loud as the Undertaker theme loudspeaker R.I.P alarm. They are synth courser personal teleportation devices.
By the way Grouch, you should take Iron Fist perk in Fallout 4. After you merc an enemy you can unequip weapon and beat their corpse to a pulp, more immersive and chunky. Alternately, you can take Big Leagues to turn them into flying mince after they're dead with melee weapon. The graphics should be graphic.
fucking nexus they flagged my mod so now I have to wait for some moderator to check the file. I have no fucking idea why they flagged it I used 7-zip and packed it just like I did with my previous 2 mods and neither of them got flagged >.>
I tend to go long range(scoped rifle) and when in close quarters I tend to like shotguns I've taken quite a liking at an added unique lever action shotgun I have called O'L whiny, I have shotgun surgeon and "and stay back" that shotguns a beast I've knocked back death claws 20ft with it :lol
I don't find that melee combat in the newer FO games to be that good NV improved it a bit but it's still lacking maybe it's better in 4 :shrug:
Yes, the most OP build is sniper/shotgun but take demolition expert to lay mines so they die trying to close range and sneak perks to pick up mines easily without them going off. It's lay down mines/sneak/snipe/retreat/kaboom/pick up unexploded mines rinse and repeat and shooting supermutant suiciders in the right hand with a snipe so they drop the mini-nuke and all the supermutants caught in the blast area going bye-bye. Dogmeat is a key to that build, if you miss the snipe the suicider blows himself up attacking River as you retreat and she's essential/unkillable. And loyal no matter what you do if you decide to do bad things in survival mode like kill settlers. Also, don't use VATS with shotgun outdoors. Wastes action points and you don't have to aim, it's a point and click adventure. Make it full-auto street sweeper and combat shotgun if you find one with a few ranks in Commando. Save your action points for gun bashes. And as for melee or unarmed it can be used to turn dead enemy corpses into chunks of quivering defeated mince for graphic graphics.
In addition, use mines/shotgun/grenades in hallways because it's all close range and indoors. Lay down mines in hallways and corridors. If there are enemies behind a door, sneak/open door/toss two grenades in the room/close door/stand next to door facing it from its side hugging the wall/headshot with shotgun in VATS to whoever exits the door and survived grenades then retreating if necessary to where you laid down mines.
Sonic pirates Mario exclusively.

Lost my voice again laughing. :/
@Grouch
As a general rule of thumb in Fallout 4 you don't need settlement building perks until the endgame. Try out setting your ability scores for a new character to qualify for Rifleman, Commando, Gun Nut, Demolition Expert, Penetrator and Sneak with the +1 You're Special magazine to Perception and +1 Perception from Bobblehead at the Museum of Freedom at Concord at the start of the game not talking to Preston and leaving only coming for the bobblehead to qualify for Penetrator perk(makes enemies sitting ducks hiding behind cover to avoid your rifle fire). Minutemen are settlement builders and work on combat skills instead talking to Preston at the endgame stage. There is no reason join any faction any time soon, you're not an armorer so you don't need Railroad ballistic weave, you don't use power armor so no need to join BoS, you're not a scientist so no need to join Institute or initiate the Automatron content. Since there's no level cap eventually you gain the perks to become more than a combat specialist and to benefit from joining factions. Once you're around level 25 you can start the Nuka World content to become a wasteland warlord.
