Yes Creation Engine is Beth's, but it is based on Gamebyro.
Plenty of devs have used Gamebyro, even Atlus iirc.

If Bethesda had access to the source code it's irrelevant who developed it originally since Bethesda could've fixed anything and everything.

I've never implied that Obsidian couldn't have. Bethesda has a lot more money to throw at problems and they still constantly push out buggy piles :shrug:.
