Yeah, I think that's probably a lot of it for me too. As long as you watch your ammo in most horror games you never really feel powerless. In FF though you're a kid wandering around a haunted murder mansion armed only with a camera. That alone makes you a lot more careful going around each corner.

Gotta say the sound design is awesome too, really creepy.
