I feel so stupid. Apparently the ram was showing at the wrong speeds because it's ddr. Dual data rate. You double the speed it gives you. I kind of want to just cry

Dude, when I was working retail, these two Swedish girls came into my store and started talking to me about Nokia phones and if we sold any (we didn't), but I kept them in the store for probably 20 minutes checking them out while showing them the phones we did have.
