Well the game is based off Tsukihime, a visual novel game.
And its based on vampires, and philosphy, and a bunch of confusing stuff :awesome:
You could read Tsukihime before playing melty blood, but it won't have impact on story, cuz Melty Blood is an entirely different story with the same characters
