Yayness for Sevenfolds conversion to Nirvana-ness
Pink Floyd - Young Lust
Off The Wall, on which there is not a bad track. Love the vocals of this song, and the chorus especially.
Ooooh, I need a dirty woman...Ooooh, I need a dirty girl...
Amoral - Languor Passage
Sounds so different from the rest of the album, maybe it's only an instrumental
Foo Fighters - Big Me
One of the first Foo songs I ever heard... and it instantly got me hooked. What was the name of the Foo Fighters song in which there was some dude that went to a party, had his hand inflated, and bitchslapped the shit out of a bunch of bullies to save a chick? I thought it was this song, but I'm not sure.
Suffocation - Infecting The Crypts
Disturbingly good death. Yarr.
Wound Creations is a brilliant album.Quote:

Listening to Universal Migrator Part II right now. Great stuff, and the guestlist ain't so bad either. Michael Kiske should be in the next Ayreon-project (he has been in plenty of other metal operas though (Aina, Avantasia for example)).
edit: Great list Gheist, you should get Finntroll - Jaktens Tid too. :)Quote:

Yes, Suffocation's early stuff is quite decent, I'm just not too fond of the New York death metal sound.Quote:

Damn this is good. This is like... better than Storm's "Nordavind"... sorry Howie. :D I still need to check out that other viking metal band from Norway... the one which Vintersorg also plays in(Borknagar was the name, I believe). A one man band... kind of like Bathory. Speaking of Bathory, I still need to listen to all of Quorthon's albums, I've been lazy lately.
Vintersorg's voice is incredible... he sounds like a real viking poet.
Edit: Arsis - Worship Depraved
Oh yes... November 13th, I'm seeing them live in NYC! Along with 2 other melo/technical death bands I haven't listened to yet. Bad-ass...

Anyways. I'm currently listening to:
The Cure - Cut Here
I like The Cure. I picked up their greatest hits album. It does, indeed, rock. And it came with a bonus CD of acoustic versions of the songs on the CD.
But it's a horrible representation of them. Nothing from Faith or Pornography, and no Fascination Street!
Unearth - The Great Dividers
Really liking this band. Awesome guitarist and stuff. Metalcore...
Unearth is good, it's of the few metalcore/hardcore bands that I like apart from LoG and a few others.
Megadeth - Peace Sells
Mustaine doesn't even need to sing... speech is enough to make his songs sound awesome. Today, I have decided that Megadeth -not (80's) Metallica- are the best thrash band ever. Guess that's what happens when you listen to all the Megadeth albums in one day.
Dream Theater - Beyond This Life
I'm no DT-fan... until I heard this. I don't like Images And Words, but this fucking rocks.
Tierra Santa - Los Diez Mandamientos.
Spanish power metal. Not excessively cheesy, but it could've been a bit shorter to cut down on repetitivity. The title translates to "The Ten Commandments", obviously containing lyrics about how the commandments came about and such("etched the law with eternal flames on slabs of stone" or something is a phrase from the song). Strange to hear power metal with not-so-subtle lyrics...
*plays some Vital Remains*
Damn, why does anti-religious music own religion-oriented bands? Same goes with bands with political-related lyrics... which is why Megadeth owns you all. ;)
Welcome to a new world  check out Train of Thought, not really like I&W at all.Quote:
