The monster always reminded me of a Lovecraftian creature almost. Probably all the tentacles. :wacko: Yeah, I was pleasantly surprised with the 2011 prequel. They really went into explaining some of the details from John Carpenter's movie. Like the two-faced corpse, as well as how the thing escaped in the body of that husky.

You should watch it man. Don't be put off because a movie is that old and/or B&W...I lived on old sci-fi and horror movies/tv shows when I was a kid.
I actually preferred watching that stuff to many kids shows in fact, but of course I still watched kids stuff :P

According to wiki that movie did better at the box office than all other sci-fi films of that year including The Day The Earth Stood Still.
