Hey not always...last year I hit up a garage sale with $2 SNES carts and got Earthbound, Chrono Trigger, Dracula X, Super Metroid, A Link To The Past, FF2 and FF3.
And yeah man, there was a listing here awhile back for a PS2 with like 76 games and all were shit, it's amazing how much shit people can have.
:doink: How good a copy of Earthbound was it? Cuz you could have made some good profit if you were re-selling those.
Yeah, ppl have too many shit games. This one guy selling a DS with 2 games, the 2 games were some iCarly shit and a game i had never heard of before. :Low:
It was a minty cart only. This was summer of last year though and Earthbound has really spiked in price since then.
I bundled it with Dracula X and Chrono Trigger and sold it for a price that pleased both parties.
Yeah it's like the Magic cards I picked up a few weeks ago, all profit. :]
Yup yup. I hate to say this, and maybe its a bit 'shameful' to feel this way, but since finding the miracle of the AceKards, I just cannot justify devoting the time/money/energy/passion to cart collecting anymore.....I mean, shit; lets be frank: in this modern age, I can harbour the entire NES LIBRARY on a chip the size of my pinkie nail....cripes...
However, I am and will always be an old school passion-hound....I collect Atari Lynx games for their coolness and for the hell of it, I have a weird fetish for hoarding instruction manuals and empty video game boxes, and my wife and I have a mind-shattering action figure/doll collection.
Same here on the yard sale scores, man. Scary and unreal, actually.....the finds over the years....got a Rubbermade tub stuffed with 2600 carts for $20 when I was in my teens, (that began a 20-year obsession with obtaining EVERY 2600 game) have found SEVERAL Vectrex systems at GoodWill stores, and have had the privledge of owning demo games and kiosks....really unreal, man...
Just a while back, I got the Zelda multi-pack 'PROMO' GC game for $2, and also Tyson's Punch-Out for the same...just TINY finds in an ocean of years collecting, really..
BTW...are you 'Gypsy'? Same person, or? I remember a 'Gypsy' from when I was here last year....along with Engle, Nemesis, Shadrax, Zorlon, Linky, and of course, Kouen....
Sheras - Yup...lol...gotta love those 'finds'...ughhh. Not NEARLY enough of the GOOD GBA games around these days, but I have DRAWERS stuffed with shit like Rugrat, Barbie, and Mary Kate....:monocle:
lol....ok... Whats with the name changes? "MAO"? Chairman Mao? And I dont know WHAT the hell a 'Sanger' is, but I remember Nem from talking about Dino Crisis, heh...
Gypsy - Magic, eh? There is a local kid that has been trying to shove those in my face for a while now...he tells me that he has 'thousands' of them for CHEAP....
Didnt know they were worth a scrap - ?
Yeah I'm Gypsy I just change my name randomly to confuse everyone.
Yeah. There are a couple pawn shops here were any Gamecube game is $2. Usually they don't see in anything interesting but whenever you find anything of value it's a really sweet deal. Got Tales of Symphonia last week and did a quick flip.Quote:

Awhile back I was at a garage sale and I can't remember what system it was but the person was like, "it's sells for such and such on ebay". I politely told him to sell it on e-bay then. Long story short I've been broadening my horizons lately. Magic cards, rare dvds, anime sets and power tools. Been looking into pokemon and ygo cards as well and trying to find a site with a good buylist. Any really valuable Magic cards I will just sell to cardkingdom and then I bulk out the rest. With stuff like the rare dvds and anime sets you can even make good money by getting them from local used stores that have fixed pricing on dvds. Usually $6 is shit for a single dvd movie but when it's some stupid cult movie that goes for $100+ online then it's pretty swag.
:lol
My brother is i wanna say 2 cards away from having a complete set of cards for the original 151 pokemon. I cant remember what he is missing but he could probably just pick up those last 2 cards online somewhere now, but he doesnt pay attention much.
