I adhere to the "evolution of aesthetics" and believe that no one understands the appreciation of complex art from the beginning, and always starts with simple art first. If you get bored, go to the next one. Simple art can't be seen forever, I need to find something that can make me reminisce for a lifetime. During this process, I came across the game, but I didn't really have much reason, I just liked it.

When I was 5 years old I started playing a Pac-Man clone for the TI-99 home computer called Munchman which had games with voice synthesis so advanced for its time it would only be matched by Dragon's Lair and PS! years later with CD soundtracks. That's when I started getting into consoles, I had tried Pong and arcade games before then but did not have a collection to play at first so I was not a gamer until I was in first grade.

When I was very young around 4 years old I would watch my mom play Ms. Pacman on a cocktail arcade at her work and I loved it. The colors, sounds and flashing lights hooked me instantly. I've been gaming ever since going from atari 2600 to the playstation 5.

Not having my own gaming console while my cousin had everything. I enjoyed games which made me thirsty for them since I couldn't play them.

Serendipity, watching my neighbor's parents play Munchman(Pac-Man clone) on a TI-99 personal computer when I was six years old. Also the first video game I played, after emulating it I realized that I was better at it before and that I was a wiz kid from the start.

It had voice synthesis in 1980 that was not be matched until CD games with audio.

Completely unlike them, my parents actually bought a ZX Spectrum when I was a child. It is so very out of character for them! We had a number of homemade game "collections" on c15 tapes.

Boredom got me into gaming plus a great way to connect with other people with a similar interest

I believe what first got me started in gaming was when I was just a wee toddler. My dad and mom had a SNES and Super Mario. After that I believe mom got me the SEGA one? I can't remember which one exactly but it had that Lion King game on it that was IMPOSSIBLE for either of us to get past several stages of! Hahah! And then, after that dad got my sister and I an N64! Omg spent soo many hours on that thing! My favorites had to be Donkey Kong 64, Bomberman Hero I think it was, the one with the cat lady with the whip lol, Super Smash Bros., Diddy Kong Racing, and one time I played Quest64 at my cousins which I never got to play anymore until I turned 30 a couple years and emulated it on my N3DSXL hahah! That game was so fun even tho it was an unfinished mess! xD Aaaanyways after that we got a GameCube, and then an Xbox360, then my sister and I got our own consoles after that, we both had the XboxOne, but after a while I switched to the PS4 when it came out and haven't looked back since. But I think what REALLY got me into gaming was making so many friends on Xbox Live because the kids at my school were absolute jerks lol. Of course MMORPG's on our shared computer was always a good time whenever it was my sister's turn to play whatever console we had at the time. Hahaha! *sigh* Those were the days. <3
