I used to be able to tell what was going on, but last summer all the emergency services updated their radios to (I think) 900MHz, which my scanner does not receive. I checked into a new one that does, but they are priced so high most people don't bother.

Hm, I don't see how or why the cops would let you have the frequency but that sounds pretty awesome, like I said before, it is known that when a cop is killed here the hitmen usually patch into their frequency and make fun of the police department. :wacko:
The only thing I can think of that they regulate as far as police communications is you can't have a police scanner in a vehicle while you are driving. I doubt they would want you hearing them call in your license plate, as it gives you a chance to run before they even stop you.Quote:
