Adventure Time- This show is weird but entertaining.
Watched the mid season finale of TWD, wasn't bad. The episodes had been getting a little boring for me lately.
Also watched Robot Chicken S6.
Rewatching Heroes, oh if only this show didnt go to the crapper in later seasons :(
Adventure Time
Family Guy
The Walking Dead
The Simpsons
The last one was TWD mid-season chapter... Hershel :(
Got stalled, but watching Zyuranger again. Finally got to the point where Burai enters the show and it is glorious.
I mean, you know it's going to be something amazing when awakening a character is opposed by an old man trying to run his own grandson down with a forklift, then getting another guy who is supposed to be a kindly old white mage to help in attacking the kid with machine guns and grenades.
Did my last recent couple of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Finally starting to pick up a bit which is good. Sucks about different companies having the rights to different books though, the second to last episode came close to ripping off the good old mutants though with a chick who was seemingly telekinetic and a dude who bamfed around. They're finally starting to show some super powered people but it's all explainable and carries on from Ironman 3.
This show has more of an X-files feeling than a Comic Book show. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing.
And I wonder if that black dude will take the name PowerMan???
Finished the first three seasons of Power Rangers, the Alien Rangers miniseries and Zeo.
My Zeo nostalgia has been killed, because it was nowhere near as good as I recalled. Well, the stock footage was great, but the adaption was pretty poor. Especially given the massive gap between the end of it and Turbo...
Speaking of Turbo, nearly finished with it. The show got better after the first 20 episodes, mainly because they dropped the stupid as Hell plot line of placing a bomb in every damn episode and the writing actually getting better. But on the flip side,Spoiler warning:
The last Agents of SHIELD. At least I think it was, put it off for a bit.
Things just went up a notch.
Was wondering when we would see a more Marvelous character. Turns out it'sSpoiler warning:
supernatural is good, it's been on for a couple year's now, I think it's the best show ever.
Since my last post..
Finished;
Hyakujuu Sentai Gaoranger
Kyōryū Sentai Zyuranger
Power Rangers In Space, Lost Galaxy, Lightspeed Rescue.
Spider-Man Unlimited (yet another show canceled before its time)
Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters
Wonder Years
In Progress;
Masked Rider
Power Rangers Dino Thunder
Star Trek: The Original Series (always been more of a Next Generation fan, personally)
Taiyo Sentai Sun Vulcan
Tokusō Sentai Dekaranger
Powerpuff girls-I loved this show,so cute. I did compare it to the anime version..but I still enjoy it.
Transformers Prime
I don't understand why people love this. It still has annoying kids, like the Japanese shows the female child is the most annoying (and she's Japanese so double points), I hate Starscream's voice, I hate how, at the time of my viewing, every named Decepticon has an aircraft alt mode, Bumblebee is mute like in those horrible movies, Soundwave is seemingly mute, I have never liked Arcee in any variation that I have seen, and I like her motorcycle mode the least.
The show also has no real personality of its own; it's a mash up of everything and hopes that does something. But it doesn't, it just feels like a mess. Also, Optimus Prime without his face mask thing is the creepiest thing I have ever seen.
Mst3k-I really miss this show.I watched Monsters a-go-go and Devil Doll.
Face-Off
Upstairs,Downstairs-It's a show from the 70's(I think) about a wealthy family in 1905 and their help. It's like Downton Abbey. It's an interesting show.
The latest Shield episode. Not bad. Bill Paxton guest starred and an introduction to Lorelei[ from the world of Thor :D
All caught up with Ressha Sentai ToQger, give that it's only aired 3 episodes so far. It's... eh...
The gimmick of switching colors and thus weapons is neat and all, plus it's cool to see a Red with a skirt, but it really is just a gimmick. It doesn't add anything beyond color swapping since the weapons don't see to actually do anything different in the hands of another member. And speaking of members, their mecha is... special. In that it appears to be able to form a giant red phallus at will. The Hell.
I don't really like the design of their combined mecha, to be honest. It's boxy and feels like a product of the 80s in a bad way. The overly bright colors don't help, but then it's called the Rainbow Line so that can't be helped. I also don't like the design of the helmets; the railroad track visors don't do it for me, especially with the Blue guy who always has his falling down... because he wears glasses that always fall. GET IT.
And that's the other biggest complaint; it's beyond lighthearted to the point of needlessly silly. Maybe I'm just a grumpy old man who likes more serious sentai, but I could do without the glasses bit. Or them breaking the fourth wall now and again, or the lamest part of the entire series so far, the Pink one cosplaying at least once an episode in her mind to make herself a better fighter in reality.
But again, only 3 episodes so what I'm sure will be a 48 to 50 episode series, so there's always time for things to change. Or for me to get used to them. Or Japan sinks into the ocean. Or space robot holocaust.
Kinda want that last one to happen. That sounds neat.
And now I've seen episode 4. I really am starting to dislike the helmets and I honestly think the suits are even more lame than that of Go-Busters, a feat I didn't think possible. Wagon is really starting to wear thin on me. I really do think Right, their Red should just ask to permanently switch with their Pink, since he's transferred with her in every episode so far.
Also, starting watching Samurai Sentai Shinkenger; another series with helmets I don't like and outfits that I think are ugly. Maybe it's because I'm not Japanese but I don't get the obsession with samurai and the feudal era... not that I get the obsession with stupidly over sized swords like their Red rocks in combat all the time. Also, their machines are both ugly and look hilarious due the fact that they're compact, fold up things. I guess this is a case where they're going for toy accurate? And their combined machine... well, I've seen a lot of bad giant robot designs and this is pretty high up on the list.
I'm not even going to get started on their spin disks...
Hell's Kitchen-
Finally finished Sun Vulcan, with Megaranger taking its place.
Latest Agents of Shield.
Very good. Lady Sif was in this with a great fight between her and Lorelie. Can't wait for the next one. They keep falling behind and have to wait 2 weeks between episodes but if that means a better show then I'm all for it. Bring on the Deathlok!!!
Any other Marvel fans following this???
Started Kamen Rider Decade last night.
Started watching Twin Peaks (again).I think this show(as with most David Lynch's work) has to be watched several times. I've noticed a lot of things that I didn't the first time around. I think there were some fairly obvious hints to who the killer was.Or I'm reading too much into the show. There's some things I haven't figured out though, but I guess that's part of watching it.
Started Kamen Rider Kuuga.
Been catching up on Big Bang. Just noticed not long ago that the blanket over Amy's couch looks exactly the same as the one from the old Roseanne show :P
Yeah. it's obviously set in the early 90's. Some things in the movie and show don't match up exactly. I guess I could see where they were going with it, but I wish more was explained. I enjoy both, but the movie is really different than the show.
I think the network prevented him from doing things in the show. I read that the network wanted him to solve the murder in the second season. We all know how that went.
Going through the first season of Stargate: Atlantis for the first time since the episodes aired nearly 10 years ago.
I was looking up old shows from the 80's and found a show that I kinda remembered. It's called Monsters; it's a horror anthology like Tales from the Darkside. The opening shows a monster family watching tv. This brought back memories of watching it.
Been watching Grimm and I'm not sure why. It's not a great show. But somehow it sunk it's claws in. Season 1 was awful, but I still kept watching. Season 2 is MUCH better, but it still isn't great. And yet I find myself thoroughly liking it.
Finished up Kamen Rider Decade, and it was a massive let down.
Well I caved and started the 4th season of Game of Thrones. Looks like they skipped some shit.Looks like they even changed a few minor things again from the book.Spoiler warning:
