:lou: because reasons
I was looking forward to the columbo marathon today but it's completely over hyped it's only 4 episodes and so far they're for the mid/late 80's :(
so I'm just watching wonder woman as usual.
wonder bosoms
for the first time in weeks a local station is doing a weekend marathon of a decent show. this weekend it's the prisoner an old british show it was referenced on the simpsons twice.
Done!
Would take me a lot longer to download that many guides. Too bad the ones I want are probably impossible to find.
Did you check the site out?
Yeah I checked the site out. I've been on that site before. Unless I overlooked something, it looks like they took down most of their commerical rom sets.
Does this mystery site have the Mana Khemia 2 guide ?
Archive.org server error 502
:bigahhh:
And now I'm seeing a bunch of
error messages >.> ffsQuote:
Item cannot be found.
:lol what a shit show.Quote:
Internet Archive services are temporarily offline.
Don't think I've ever seen so many different errors and shit going on there in such a short period of time.
Did everyone get covid and they left monkeys to run the site? :pwacko:
Ok, so I checked twitter to see if there was any info about what is going on.
I read this:
Fog and mist knocked out power? :rofl:Quote:
Power outage at an @internetarchive
datacenter that is knocking out archive.org and openlibrary.org. No estimated time of repair yet.
8,000 customers are without power in the Bay Area. The outages are weather related due to fog and mist. In the Richmond area more than 10k customers are without power. Crews are working to restore power.
What happens when a mouse farts?
Fog and mist knocking out power for a region sounds like something from a ridiculous paranormal show.
Where I live we have fog for a few months every year. I've never seen power go out because of that and we don't have underground power lines locally, so I'm not sure how this is even possible
Humidity 70-80% or more happens every year at certain times so fog and mist is just something you live with.
I live more than 100km from the coast but I do live basically next to a lake (on a hill though).
Depending on where archive.org and such servers are stored, it depends on what is feeding them power. The electrical grid in America is a huge mess. Its also long overdue for a huge upgrade too.
Working alright here.
Its probably back online then. I bought Skyward Sword HD a few days or so ago and haven't played it yet. Lol
Went to my local mall, they had a mini arcade in the corner. Most of the games were over priced at a dollar each, and of course only in quarters. At least I got to play some House of the Dead 2, Guitar Freaks and Mario Kart GP. I won the race in MK GP, then the game asked for two quarters to go on to the next track :/ I left after that.
Yeah it was a pretty lack-luster arcade. If you can even call it that. All the games required two or more quarters and pretty much all the cabs were sit-down or light-gun games. Though Time Crisis 3 and House of the Dead 2 aren't bad games. There wasn't any upright cabs like say for Metal Slug or games like that. I miss arcades that walls full of games of all different types.
On archive.org twitter there was info about power outage affecting servers.
A couple of my downloads did continue but then a bunch were throwing up errors so I looked into it. Maybe not all servers are in the same place which is why you weren't affected.
The stuff I was getting was fresh uploads (that wasn't all uploaded at that point) of Dreamcast and Xbox protos. Hundreds of them.
 another long boring day.
everybody get on the wagon
