Only after leaving it for so long do you realise that Nevermind really is a kickass album. Probably the most over-rated and under-rated album ever.

Dead to Fall - Villainy and Virtue(album and this song)
Pretty decent melodic death/metalcore, in the style of Heaven Shall Burn and Amon Amarath. The vocalist sounds a lot like Anders Friden in "Whoracle" and "The Jester Race", but he doesn't sound as forced as Anders does. It's definately got that Gothenburg flavor in it, some At the Gates and In Flames goodness. It's a cool album so far, the riffs don't bore me as many other metalcore bands do. Took me a while to find this new album. :P I'm surprised at the amount of great metal albums released this year... then again, it wasn't until recently that I've been picking up every single album I hear good comments about. :P
Dream Theater - Damage Inc.
With the lead vocalist of Napalm Death live at Ronnie Scotts, fucking great shit. It's on the FYLT video I think...
Bruce Springsteen - For You
Not enough people listen to Springsteen on this board, I must say. His original stuff is so great. This is definately one of my favorite songs by him.
They all laugh at him. Petrucci just nails that solo also.Quote:

Otep - Shattered Pieces
I like this band. For some reason the creepiness of this amuses me. So far, my favorite song is Buried Alive
Behemoth - Slaves Shall Serve
Holy christ... the vocalist really scares the shit out of you in this one. I urge anyone who likes some really heavy stuff to check this song/band out(they have a sample of this song on their site). It opens with the vocalist growling something that sounds like a satanic ritual or something, followed by a brutal assault from Nergal's guitar and Inferno's fast-as-hell drumming. Damn, they're good.
Pearl Jam - Blood
Been spinning Vs, their best effort. I really want their new live album...
Destruction - Cracked Brain
Not the best Destruction-release, but this one's not bad either. I prefer late and early Destruction, Neo-Destruction sucks. Anyway, there's a few good riffs and solos here and there, but the vocals ain't that good.
The Police - Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic
It's been in my head all day long, just such a solid song. One of my fave songs of all time now methinks...
Green Day - American Idiot
They play it on the radio way too much. However, it does contain one of my favorite lines in a song ever:
"The subliminal mindfuck America!"
Genesis - Supper's Ready
Awesome prog epic from 1972's "Foxtrot". The Gabriel Genesis. The good Genesis...
Green Day - American Idiot
Nelly - Suit/Sweat
I would say i listen to Nelly more than Green Day, only because my friend has my Green Day CD.
The Police - No Time This Time
Stewart Copeland is such an awesome drummer, and worth much more attention than I've been giving him...
Nile - Sarcophogus
One of the few Nile songs I've listened to. Not bad, really. It's not fast like most DM, but it still kicks ass in a Slayer-ish kind of way. If I remember correctly, Nile's guitarist played as a guest musician for Behemoth's song "Xul"... kick-ass. What I don't understand is why he would fly all the way over to Poland for the recording of one song... they must've known each other or something.
