Resident Evil Revelations (PS4). Forgot how hard some of the fights were on infernal if you jump straight in there :P
Shadow Warrior (PS4), a fun little FPS game
Started, Shadow Warrior 2 and it seems more like an FPS Action RPG something I was not expecting from it
Just finished Jak and Daxter the precursor legacy(PS4), making for my 29th :platinum:. THis makes for the 2nd time i've platted this game, as i have the ps3 collection as well. I was never able to plat Jak II or Jak III on the ps3. I still have the collection too.
FFV Advance Job Fiesta. Once again I dove into FFV but this time I played the GBA release solely to experience the new content.
I got Samurai, Beastmaster, Dancer, Blue Mage. Fortunately this time I had a job to start out with and wow I really liked having Blue Magic around however various beginning bosses were very hard without proper healing ability and real meaty spells where available later on.
Regardless a very challenging redo even once I obtained each job each came with there own challenges so I got to improvise alot.
As for the extra content which I tackled without Job Fiesta rules it was pretty good although I didnt like how it wasnt made obvious enough I had to capture a Behemoth to progress. Regardless a solid dungeon but sadly theres not much to do with the final job once unlocked assuming you didnt purposely leave the optional bosses alone which I did not do.
I now experienced the entirety of FFV and for the most part i was pleased with the results. The final fight with Enuo however was very anti-climatic I killed him without much effort. Still fun stuff even if I dont 100% agree with the GBA music at times.
Stories Untold

A text adventure game in the guise of an episodic horror/sci-fi anthology collection. It's really neat and inventive, though episode three pushes things a bit with all the steps you need to take. Episodes one and two make great use of the step following and slow interface, though, creating tense atmospheres. Episode one is also some grade A player fuckery and I would not advise playing that one with headphones.
Spoiler warning:
finally finished rayman raving rabbids on ds. the 2d sections as well as he mini games were fun but the stylus and boss sections were just annoying. I don't see myself playing this game again.

The Walking Dead Survival Instinct :platinum:
Just replayed Space Quest Enhanced(first game), and Space Quest II yesterday.
Paper Mario Pro Mode. I gotta say im impressed with just how many changes this mode made.
This is the first (that im aware of) really intricate hack of Paper Mario 64 that defies many expectations and throws a ton of curveballs.
I constantly got suprised and was always in suspense seriously if you like Paper Mario 64 play this you'll be suprised I gurantee it.
I've been playing through the Space Quest games and managed to finish 4, 5, and 6(couldn't beat 3). I've also been playing through the various space quest fan games and finishing most of them(only couldn't finish the lost chapter).
playing at the moment 4 games p5 and yakuza (ps4) okage shadow king (ps2) and ff type 0 (xbox one)
Samus Returns, which sadly does not allow you to shoot THE BABY and make Other M not canon.
Touhou Double Focus on the Vita.
Metroid Samus Returns 100%. A beautifully crafted remake perfect for Metroid fans appetite. Its great journey throughout and I had a great time playing it. Seriously play this game!
Finished my run of Tales of Destiny 2 (the real Destiny sequel on the PS2, as opposed to Tales of Eternia) in Korean about a month ago. Was pretty down on the game during its first half, and was really only slogging through it for the Korean practice. But I forgot that it kind of picks up as it goes on and the battle system builds up steam, and by the end I had remembered why I had had lots of fun with it when I played it in Japanese years and years ago. ^^;;; I enjoyed the strategic elements to the battles and the relatively high level of difficulty, and while the story is pretty much as ridiculous as I remembered, the cast of characters are pretty great and lots of fun to watch. The ending is also really sweet and quite well done. ^^;;; I managed to rack up a pretty decent amount of grade without really going out of my way to do so (and despite the grade system being kind of nuts and outrageously fickle), so maybe I'll replay it at some point down the line with some grade shop stuff, as I don't think I ever bothered when I played it in Japanese. ^^;;;
It was also the first game I've ever played from start to finish in Korean, which felt like something of a landmark in my study. ^_^ There were still quite a lot of words I had to look up or ask my partner about, but there weren't nearly as many as in the Korean games I've tried to play to this point, and I understood more than enough for it to be enjoyable. And considering that I've only been casually self-studying the language for about two years, I'm pretty happy with that level of progress. ^^;;; I'm definitely miles ahead of where I was with Japanese after the same period of time, despite studying Japanese far more intently than I have Korean. And I think in one more year's time, I'll be at the level where I'm starting to read novels in the language. ^^;;; I still don't know why videogames work so well as a means of language acquisition for me. But I think with something like foreign language learning, it's best to find methods that work for you and stick to them, rather than worrying about "right" and "wrong" methods for learning another language. And games seem to be the best way for me to make that leap from textbook language to real language. ^^;;;
Meerio 64 ma boi
Beyond Good and Evil on og Xbox.
Thought I should play it before BGAE2 is out.
Doubt they'll have much in common though.
Assassin's Creed II (PS4) :platinum:
I recently played through Megaman zero 1 thru 3 working on 4 at the moment. Also just finished Castlevania Aria of Sorrow, Order of Ecclesia, and Portrait of Ruin.
The Lisa Trilogy: Great set of games that work both as dark comedy RPGs and also the most fucked up shit about the cycles of abuse that shape us into monsters ever written. Also you can have a drunk man vomit on people to cover them in oil and then have a man in a leopard print leotard do a sexy dance to light them on fire and that is good.
Syberia 3: This game took a decade to make and it ends on a cliffhanger. I'm actually mad about this. Despite that huge set back and the feeling that the entire game was put together with string and elmer's glue, the actual story is a perfect continuation of the franchise. Voice acting ranges from all of the ham to I'm just here because my dad ran out of money and needed someone to read some lines.
Costume Quest 1 and 2: This was a good way to start off the month of the spook. Short but very cute, clever and enjoyable turn based RPGs where kids make their costumes real to fight monsters and an evil dentist who makes a deal with a time wizard to create a cyberpunk dystopia where candy is outlawed. Also the second game is the best one cause you can freestyle a bike horn with a New Orleans jazz band while you're dressed like a clown.
Mitsurugi Kamui Hikae: A spectacle fighter made by a small doujin group that's like a really simplified Platinum Games release. It's damn fun, a ton of moves to unlock and play with and a lot of challenging fights. Highly recommended, and it's dirt cheap.
FFXII Zodiac Age :platinum:
Spoiler warning:
Tomb Raider reboot on PC.
Dark souls 3 :platinum:
That's another one done :) Up to date with my souls plats. Bloodborne 2 is the next one I think if it comes out.
Welcome to Deponia: Fantastic point and click game, ends on a really strong note, and filled with good sadistic humor. Can't wait to see what the rest of the series is like.
HuniePop: Replayed it for an article I'm writing. I'd probably love if it, you know, they got rid of all the racism and MRA lingo.
finished mario kart 7 a little while back. it's really fun just wish they would have added all the snes N64 and gba tracks and maybe a couple more ds tracks.
I have recently 1CC'd King of the Monsters 1 as the character who looks like a super hero. It's some good monster wrasslin' action! Except the game randomly chooses who gets to win the grapples. There were a few times when I got the computer in this nice loop where they would run into my charge shot.
Just finished first playthrough of Dragon's dogma dark arisen on ps4.
Huniepop is difficult to talk about because it does a lot of things great, but also a lot of things badly. The racist stuff mostly comes from Kyu, the love fairy that helps you out. She's basically a living embodiment of 4chan irony humor, complete with random outdated rap lingo and references to how she has "yellow fever" and other such things. Thankfully, she's not in the game too much, but then you hit basic stereotyping stuff, like the unique costumes and hairstyles you can unlock. Putting native American or Incan wear on the Indian woman is, uh, kind of racist. The real offender there are the unique gifts, though. The one hispanic girl's unique gifts includes ...a sombreo, a lucha mask, and maracas. Don't even get me started on the Japanese woman.
But the weird thing is that Huniepop never goes in the same trash levels as games made by very open chan trash (see "The Triggering"). Beyond stuff like that, the cast are fairly normal people that fit somewhat in a stereotypical mode, but dialog and little details you can find out give them a few more layers. The staff are informed by chan humor, but chan culture doesn't fully define them.
Until HunieCam, which makes STDs into a mechanic.
Also not wild about some of the stuff being previewed for their third game
Which
Uh

So if you play a Hunie game, just know in advance you take the good with the painfully outdated meme probably thought up be some mildly racist 14-year-old somewhere.
That's really a shame. I used to go to 4chan, back when I was like 14-16. I've never heard of The Triggering. But just from the title, I know I don't need to play it. That term is so overused these days anyway. I swear, you disagree with any on the right, and they spout "TRIGGERED!". What a shame though. I was actually interested in the games, but with the racist crap you just mentioned, I think I'm gonna stay away.
