If that's not encouragement then writing a glowing review of tools used to make bombs and linking to where you can get them is not encouragement either. It's the bottom line corporate scum care about, that's why they go after pirates after they convince them to pirate. If no one pirates then they can't sue for $ 150k for every copyright infringement.Quote:

Well now Filesonic is gone this is what you get ( All sharing functionality on FileSonic is now disabled. Our service can only be used to upload and retrieve files that you have uploaded personally.) And US users can not upload. Fileserve is deleting files too.
>_> i told you so..i knew all these uploading places are gonna die cuz ppl cant keep they're busybody selves to them selves.
FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
as long as mediafire and rapidshare live, i dont care
I like how we're ignoring that the two that were taken down were the scummiest of these sites.
They had it coming in so many ways. I doubt Rapidshare and Mediafire will have any major issues, they'll probably enforce their rules more.
Filesonic now only lets you download files you've uploaded. They are preventing the Feds apparently.
wait a sec, u can still download from fsc but can't upload anymore?
MediaFire said in a recent blog post (January 20th) that they will delete accounts immediately after discovering copyrighted material on the users account. I just happened to come across that minutes after they posted that. I skimmed through that post today and cannot see what I just claimed they said. They must've edited it out. However, if you read their ToS, it does say that they will delete/suspend an account upon finding out about copyrighted material on an account.Quote:

Another thing, they are located just outside of Houston, Texas USA. They do say this (still) in their blog post. Which isn't a good thing if you're going to upload copyrighted material. If you're paranoid about the feds coming after you, then stay away from them.
Also, read this article about other File Hosts & Video streaming sites on how they are changing how they operate HERE. Some of them are blocking USA IPs from accessing their sites.
Probably for the best. MediaFire never really seemed like a pirating based site to me.
