I remember Cash Converters having loads in 07/08. I haven't seen them anywhere since. :o

I actually found my grey Gameboy while cleaning up the other day. :'D I still think the design is classy, even if it's pretty loltastic in hindsight that it gobbled four batteries to fuel that tiny dot matrix screen. ^^;;;

Got one for about £20 at a shop nearby. They even had it silver, as pink is the most common colour. It's even got a marvellous battery. Didn't have to recharge it for about 3 weeks.

Oh to hell with it, I'm buying an original Game Boy and that can be my Christmas present to myself. I haven't bought myself anything for months and I doubt I'll miss £15-20 all that much.

Gawd, it did, didn't it? ^^;;; Though at least there you had the excuse of the screen being colour and backlit.

The problem with the older Gameboys is the fact you CAN'T see the screen. EVER.

Go for at least a GBA SP. :wacko:

True, but you only had 2-3 hours unlike the GB which had 8-10 I think.

Game Boys were everywhere at my primary school. Kids would gather round to watch others play Metroid or Zelda at lunch time. Oh how I longed to be one of them.

Then, one magical Christmas in Year 6, I finally got my own Game Boy Colour.

...and my parents wouldn't let me take it to school.

I don't think they were that bad. I borrowed one for an entire summer back in the day and I can't remember having any trouble seeing it.
