I saw Hitman 3 was in the works. Hitman 2 does look fun.
Yeah couple of months. Have a feeling that will be my first next gen game.
Hitman 2 really sucked me in. Most of the areas are more fun than the first imo. And a wonderful neighbourhood level that would make any fan of Blood Money giggle like an 8 year old girl :P
Looking forward to a nice long holiday weekend. Gonna veg out and play some gaaaaaaames!
Well I'm gonna wait awhile before I get the PS5 or Xbox Series X.
:booger:
Ugh, my shitty printer died. Possibly from lack of use, I guess the printer head has dried up or some shit? I guess this is a lucky week to have a shitty printer die, maybe I can get another for $20 or something?
A lot of those cheap basic wireless printers are complete junk, and I wouldn't bother with anything used unless it is free, but even then you're just getting rid of someone else's rubbish for them :lol
Even if it's just out of ink the chances that at least a jet is partially blocked or even completely blocked.
Sure, you can tear down a printer and soak the head in isopropyl alcohol but it isn't worth the time, effort and wasted alcohol in 99.9% of cases.
It would need to be a wide body printer or an expensive photo type with CD/DVD printing to be worth refurbishing. Some printers also have waste ink units that are chipped.
It's a fucking nightmare for amateurs :lol
Yeah there's no way I'm taking Craigslist trash, free would be overpriced. Ink prices probably start at like $30, and the things basically guaranteed to have issues. Like my piece of trash I'm sure I've printed less than 500 pieces of paper lifetime (maybe less than 200?) and the thing died all on its own.
I think I'm going to walk into Superstore. They had some no-tax week going when I walked into there the other day. And this sort of thing is right up their no-tax event alley, like I think they has 55 inch TVs for $200 and shit (I walked past it all, it's always cheap assed brands).
Yeah I Googled this a bit, and it's totally possible to tear things out and clean them and shit. But it's not worth the hassle for a worthless printer. Like while I'm cleaning the print head the ink cartridges could dry/clog, and then I'd have wasted time on something that may still not work and need to spend $30 on new ink.
Won an auction for one of those janky Chinese SNES mini clones (US looking type, HDMI, 821 games onboard).
I have bid on the odd local auction for these before but never had any luck under $10aud... can't say that now though :pwacko:
The controller ports are the famiclone type (look like Genesis/Atari/C64 ports but the wiring is different), which is exactly what I wanted :revwacko:
It's very likely I'll tear this thing to bits when I get it (after a night of playing some games anyway :P ), just for parts:
HDMI cable - spare cable.
2x Controllers - test to see if they work on my 1:1 discrete famiclone, L/R buttons shouldn't work and maybe select won't too, but I'm hoping the rest function the same as standard famiclone type controllers.
HDMI upscaler - possibly use this in something else I have with only composite out.
Case - keep for a possible future project, like a Pi or whatever. I may even end up using it as a GBS-8200 case if it's fit for purpose.
PSU - I'll have to investigate this, hopefully the board inside is translating USB input to at least one other voltage  If not then the USB psu adapter goes into the spares bin.
Oh wow. You can get IPS RIPS kits for original Gameboy and Pockets now?
Colour screen, OSD with screen position and colour palette adjustments :doink:
Spoiler warning:
Been a couple weeks... :lol Finally got settled into the new house. Still getting some things unpacked but got my desk and computer finally done today.
