Don't know where Gare is but I'll back you up a thousand and ten percent on that one. Definitely in my top 3 FF games, and the best one on PS2 by a mile.

I've never cared for it :shrug:. The greater majority of characters are loathsome, the plot is trite, and the gameplay is nothing to write home about.

Loved the world and gameplay myself. Gorgeous looking for the time and hardware too. I enjoy big boss battles so all the hunts and shit damn near gives me an orgasm :D

I gotta agree, FF XII is great and my fave on PS2.
