It's whatever you want to call it. To me trying to genrelize (yes, I made that word up) everything into all these sub categories is stupid. Like, people feel they need to have their own little niche and act all superior about it, like music is some kind of philosophy class. Music evolves, there are no rules. I just enjoy it and call it what it sounds like to me.
