With a lot of modern games having auto save and checkpoints it's easy to forget the old ways.
Although if I ever play a TES or Fallout game I instinctively have a habit of saving constantly, which all started because I spent many hours playing TES III on Xbox (which was prone to crashing, usually during load screens and especially after racking up a lot of game hours).
Yeah twas an old game. FF8 obviously. lost about 90 minutes progress due to a stupid mistake. I'm so overpowered it's a non issue with random encounters or even bosses, but stopped for a Triad game and lost my high level hand.

I got a copy of that recently for PS1. Black label PAL so it has the nice looking covers, manuals and disc art.
I've got a US black label version of 9 on the way but still need to find a cheap copy of 7 (which usually fetches the highest prices here so proving more difficult).
Actually picked up a nice bunch of PS1 games over recent weeks, RE3 and Dino Crisis 2 are a couple more I'd like to get but those are very hard to find here complete and are damn expensive.
Oh yeah and both Fear Effects, X-Files and also Wing Commander IV... I managed to get a cheap copy of III already.
Something else that should turn up next week is a Japanese Gamecube (black, console only) and a CiB copy of MGS The Twin Snakes (Japanese).
I'll probably do the region switch mod on the console so it's JPN/US but I'm thinking about getting GCLoader, if I can find a complete PNP kit cheap enough.
I already have 2x PAL consoles with PSU's and controllers. Still need the Game Boy Player (which is region free and very easy to find without disc) and a couple more memory cards would be nice (they aren't as common as PS2 MC's here).
Maybe forgot to mention it to you Zal, I got Baldur's Gate I/II and Planescape Torment/Icewind Dale Enhanced Editions for XB1.
I'll probably end up getting BG1 and 2 myself. Just went through them again on pc so may be awhile.

Actually I don't think the Xbone version even has multiplayer which is pretty stupid. Even the original back in 98 on pc did lol.
