In all seriousness, I feel like close female / female friendships often feel only about one or two steps away from a relationship. ^_^ Many of my friends and I will hug, kiss, hold hands, go everywhere together, go on "dates" with each other, tell each other absolutely everything, buy each other little presents for no reason at all... Yeah I think with most male/male friendships it doesn't get as physical. I never went too much for physical contact. Hell, with one of my friends we pretty much evolved beyond the need for conversation when we didn't feel like it.
