Can't recycle for cash in Texas, unless you go to a scrap metal place or one of those ever-so-rare machines. There's no deposit on cans here like there is in NY, so it's not a guaranteed 10 cents.

Most states in the southwest don't do it at all. if you look, most cans have it labelled on them where they're worth money.

Also, I think that's technically considered fraud. I had a conversation about that with someone last time I was in New York.

Oh, wow. According to Google Maps, the closest gas station to my house is actually at $3.69 a gallon as of <24 hours ago. Nice.
