I have seen my Nokia phones still living after years of abuse and accidental drops, which I only upgrade because I like the new functions, and there are the Sony Ericcsons that die from nothing. >_> You could say I'm a fanboy for Nokia, I'm pleased with their products.

The foremen at work all have Nokia's the company paid for the "Tradie phone" model, its ment to be strong as shit, needless to say, the phones got thrown at some brick walls, then reported broken, and they all got new ones.
It was more so a challenge to destroy the phone, one ended up being encased in concrete and now is under our lunch huts, we'd ring it while the battery was working, but im pretty sure its now dead....
