I just spent the last 3 hours trying to set up a fucking "IP Camera" on Windows 7 x64 and Windows XP x86. Shit would not work.
Why do I agree to do this shit for my family. :low:

Things are good. How are you? I just realized I still have a message on my profile from you to reply to haha.
Actually, I'm sick right now. I always seem to come back to EP when I'm ill. It makes me feel better, strangely :lol
And yes, I think you're always green when I peek in haha. I keep up with you on Twitter, though, too, so because of that, I feel like it hasn't been as long as it really has since I was last in touch with EP as a whole.
Hi Devi! I'm doing fine, thankfully. Haven't seen you in ages, though, I was just wondering the other day where you disappeared to. Sucks that you're sick, though. Do get better!
Also, Ray needs to write novels or something. It took him a million words to say "my computer broke down and I can't find the parts to fix it" on Facebook. I kinda feel like I've just been trolled in a very well-written, elaborate way.
Lol I'm around. I've been pretty busy. Looking into moving soon and I'm not really thrilled about it, but ah well -_-
I've just got a cough, so it's not too bad. Actually, last time I was really sick, I spent an evening watching your Missing LP last year sometime
I'm not being ignorant, I dug out or old PC and I'm going to see what motherboard is, install a SATA HDD and use it for Ubuntu I think.
By the way, since I know you like adventure games. Ever heard of the Blackwell series? It consists of four games at the moment, with -possibly- more to come. I thought they were pretty cool. You might want to check them out if you have some time, it only takes like 2-3 hours to beat them.
They really do. :lol You have a gift. It's dat accent. I'm going to start a volunteer project where I visit clinics and play your LPs in the waiting room. No one will need to see the doc by the time we finish one (which is how long it'll take to be seen anyway).
Yeah, I keep meaning to try one again myself, but that seems incredibly unlikely to happen since I can't even manage to hold a conversation on a forum for very long. ^^;;;
I have! Actually, my brother bought me the dvd with all four of the games for my birthday last year. I've only played through the first one so far, but I did enjoy it and I'm looking forward to the others.
Have you heard of To The Moon? I haven't played it yet myself, but I hear it's amazing. It's on my "Play Someday" list. It looks really wonderful.
To save me Googling when I can't be bothered.
Do AM2 motherboards work with AM2+ CPUs or not? This board is a Winfast AM2 board.
Actually, I'm only at the third game myself. But it's nice to see you're familiar with the series. I'm not surprised, though, you're pretty pro when it comes to point and click stuff.
Yup. I have the game, but like you, it's only on my "to play sometime in the future" list. I heard good things as well. My brother's actually finished it and said it was pretty good (though he criticized certain parts of it).
Stupid ear inffection. Bleh.
After eight seconds, I found this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Socket_AM2#Successors
Hahaha, yes, and let me tell you - my knowledge of point-and-clicks gets me an AMAZING gamer reputation among my friends :p :lol I would have never known about Gabriel Knight if it weren't for you, so always feel free to throw a title my way. (I actually ended up buying that series on disc just to have it in my physical collection, though I only beat the first.)
Don't tell me any of his criticisms. I'll be looking for the the whole time if you do.
I'm running to get food. I'll be back in a bit. :wav:
Time to play Diablo 2.
If I come across anything cool I'll be sure to mention it. Plus, nowadays the indie scene is the best place to find new titles. Also I'm kinda jealous of a physical copy of GK. Though nowadays I'm more of a fan of digital distribution. GOG.com is just too good.
I know, and that's why I wasn't planning to tell you.
See you later Devi. :wav:
But I thought you hated digital distribution.
Kinda surprised you haven't heard of GOG. It's pretty big.
I don't like Steam, and things where you need clients. I don't mind paying for a legal download as long as I don't have to worry about not being able to play it in some way. I got the Kohan Battlechest digitally. What an epic purchase that was. :awesome:
I also don't look into this kind of stuff on my own (aside from getting Kohan, which I got off the timegate site). Just don't think about it. *shrug*
Looking further into GOG right now.
Yeah, GOG is pretty great in that way. No client, no DRM, no nothing. And their selection is full of classics. Although I have no concerns about Steam, either. I have my Steam games backed up on an external hard drive, worst case scenario I can just download a crack for them and play without the client.
Yeah, but if Valve/Steam shuts down I won't give a fuck. Otherwise, I don't mind the Steam interface at all. I mean, it only takes a few seconds to boot it up and you don't even notice it's there while playing.
Anyway, I'm off, I have shit to do.
It took me forever to get the first GK at a decent price. Amazon.com had it for 10 bucks for a while and then it mysteriously went up to 50 bucks one day. I was miserable that I had missed out. Then, just as mysteriously it went down to 5 dollars a week or so ago and I jumped on it. Jewel case came in cracked, but that part is easy to replace and it was otherwise fine. Now it's up to $41.95
And thank you ^_^
I'm not a huge fan of Steam, either. I think that has more to do with the fact that my friends would get on my case to play certain games if I actually used my account regularly and they can see everything I'm doing on there, and I don't like being pressured lol. I also don't like that I can never get a new account without kind of losing the games on the old one. :S I know that's pretty standard for digital download accounts, like on the PSN, but it makes me hesitant.
GOG.com just had a sale for the holiday where a lot of titles were half off. I ended up buying Last Express on there, even though I already have that one in my physical collection. GOG has them set up so they run so smoothly already without a major hassle or tweaking, too. I damn near cried when I opened the file and it didn't give me any errors :lol
And yes, their selection is perfect for people like us
My next post shall be on Ubuntu I believe. :O
Lol nevermind, have to install about 800 updates first.

I haven't rolled this many 1's in a while.
I forgot what if feels like.
Technically it's not so much "broken" as it is "it features an ass backwards DVI format that cannot be used by anything not specifically tuned to that format of DVI". Although as it turns out the RAM may have asploded when I turned it on. Add this to the other PC which shat itself within 24 hours of opening the box and I'm beginning to suspect the universe is just fucking with me. If it were somehow easier to get the cash back in my pocket I'd simply put together one semi-cheaply. Turns out LOLOLOL GIFTS DON'T WORK DAT WAY.
And I totally created a TL;DR version of that update for people that don't have a shitload of time to kill. In this case a picture is worth a couple thousand words.
We're often around, it's just that we're frequently only "around".
