I got a XL double double right now. Having a Tim Hortons across the street = win.

Only when coupled with Doritos and a lack of self respect.
Goes flat too quickly. Tastes like shit when it's flat.
Pretty much this. I prefer drinking coffee when I'm doing anything, but tea is okay here and there -- I'll usually start drinking it when it gets cold outside. 5-Hour Energy works, but it tastes like shit in my opinion. Thankfully it's really just a shot and then on you go. I would never use it for gaming -- maybe to help finish a report or schoolwork or something like that. :top:
Mountain Dew (aka Hillbilly Pee) is disgusting. I agree with Zer0 though, Dr. Pepper is great! Although I've pretty much totally given up drinking soda now TBH.
Also, just received my copy of Phantasy Star Online 1&2 today in the mail. The auction I won it from however was one with a stock photo. I usually have a rule not to even bid on auctions that have stock photos. Although this one was claiming to be "complete" and in good shape. Best of all it was priced at only ~$35, unlike $80+ like most of the other ones. Anyway, I took a risk, and I'm actually pleasantly surprised. It's in great shape with very few scratches on the disc. Also it has all of it's paperwork including it's product registration card! :nerd:
I love it when that happens. I generally agree not to go for ones with stock photos as well, but sometimes it's worth the gamble.
Also, since I figure you'll appreciate it, I bought Dragon Warrior IV today for $40. Just the cartridge, though. I now own all four Dragon Warrior games for the NES, although only the first one is complete.
You can always return it based off of what condition they have it listed at and what condition it arrives in. :) Edit: This is why I avoid anything listed as "good" with a stock photo and as I've now found out anything listed as "acceptable" on Amazon despite what the notes may say.
$35 is about what I'd ask for a minty cart only DWIV. Solid buy. Where'd ya get it?
Awesome man! That's not a bad price either. Where did you buy it from? Is it in pretty good shape? I have 1-3 already, eventually I'll get 4. Once my Phantasy Star madness subsides. Would be awesome to have all four CIB someday though. :nerd:
You have any pics of your current collection?
Depends how much I spend and just how "poor" of condition it's in. I have a general rule that $20 is "take a chance" money. If I buy something for $20 and it's in good but not great condition, I'll usually just leave it alone and not buy from that seller again. If I bought something for $50 that said it was in great condition but really it was in good condition, I would probably leave negative/neutral feedback stating my issue. Anything more than that I really, really try to avoid buying with stock photos.
Grabbed it from LukieGames. They're doing a "Pre Black Friday" sale right now, so I dug through their stuff to see if there was anything that interested me. Some decent prices on stuff there, but DWIV was the only one that jumped out at me as a "must buy at that price." Their prices can be expensive at times, but they're one of the few places that does free shipping to Canada over X amount, so I keep them on my list anyways. =)
And that picture is gorgeous, FYI. :nerd: I don't have any recent pics of my collection -- it hasn't really grown that much over the last few months. I've maybe acquired ten games lately, none of them cartridge based. I did just get in three CIBs games, though, and the one side is officially out of room to display boxed games. I'll take a pic later and show it off.
Current NES collection total:
74 boxed/complete (1 factory sealed)
42 cart only (8 with manuals)
I've also been buying Gamecube games lately, although I still only have a handful of them, and my physical PS3 library will hit 50 games next time I go out and buy something. Every other console is negligible, with only a handful of games for each one.
That's cool, at least here's a decent online place that offers free shipping to Canada. I don't blame you man. At that price I would have snatched it up too. :D
Thanks! :nerd: I'm still waiting on Phantasy Star "Deluxe"(Mega Drive) and Phantasy Star Universe(PC) to get here. They should be here any day though. After that I think I'll be stopping my buying spree. At least until the holidays are over.
Heh, mostly buying PS3 games huh? I'm sure you still have way more NES CIBs than my measly 8. Still, I love seeing pics of other people's collections.
Mountain Dew? Ughhh..its sadly ironic that it is sought-after in certain parts of the world, I'd gladly offer it to my international friends/family, only I care for them too much to harm them with that toxic shit.
Bury it in fuckin drums, out in the desert...
Wish someone up north (Canada) was able to send me poutine from Tim Horton's, somehow...they'd never survive the trip, though. :(
The last time we spent time in Quebec, we got hassled at the border for having some Molson quarts that were apparently 'illegal alcohol content' in the States..ughhhh. :Ivolt: (Admire Canada greatly, dont get me wrong; grew-up 20 mins from the border, this was just one BAD experience.)
:4x:
I definitely have more than 8. :lol I just have such a hard on for the boxes. And it keeps me from buying a shit ton all at once, since it gives me something to hunt for. :top:
I've bought a few PS3 games over the last couple months... probably around 8-10. Can't quite remember at the moment when I bought some of the games down there that I haven't played yet. I've also bought a few Gamecube games: Super Mario Sunshine, Mario Party 4, Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, Starfox Adventures, and a couple more random ones, I think. Games that Dallas likes playing.
Probably once I get my vacation pay in January I'm going to go on a spending spree and buy up a shitload of games. I also have 3 paycheques that month, so I'll be able to feed the beast a little bit. :lol
To continue the great drinks debate - not much for me that can beat a good cup of fragrant Earl Grey tea. Possibly with a hint of citrus.
