I bought mine solely to play Uncharted and since then I've used it more than previous handhelds. I've never used my handhelds too much aside from Mario platformers and kart games.

Also, with a PS+ subscription you get a couple of games every month, with that and a couple more you get because you want to play them, you'll have your plate full for quite some time. I wish Nintendo had some kind of initiative similar to PS+ for the 3DS.

I would love to own a Cassowary or Emu.

Especially since as a "portable" platform the Vita is pretty huge. Kinda nullifying it's portability IMO. You should just wait for the Vita TV coming out relatively soon. I think it's supposed to be retailing at around ~$100. You'll be able to play Vita, PSP, and PSN games on your TV just using your PS3 dualshock. My 2 cents anyway.
