You're on Windstream to right? I've been torrenting nonstop since I got back home since I don't dare at college and mine are running much slower than before I left in August, terribly slow. Honestly, during the summer a torrent with decent peers I was topping out at 1.2MB/s with an average around the 700kb/s-800kb/s mark using wireless, since I've been back, I am averaging like 120kb/s. This is just terrible.

Yeah, I sadly am. I'm topping out at at least 314kbs. =/ I wanna get faster internet, 'cause this is ridiculous. I also want faster internet so I can upload my videos faster. Damn you Windstream for having shitty connections. :fist:

It really depends on the torrent for me. I've downloaded stuff with 10K+ seeders, and only managed to get it up to 100KB/s. This is fairly consistent from the same uploader, doesn't matter what the file is or how many seeders there are. Then there are others with 40 seeders, and I'll get speeds almost reaching 2MB/s. :shrug:

Torrents are fickle bitches. As long as I finish the download, I don't care.

We're supposed to have about 3Mbps internet, but we don't. It runs at about 3 for download speeds, (If nothing else is running at the moment.) And about 500Kbps upload speeds... -.o

Upload speeds are, for the most part, quite pitiful here >.>
1.5Mb adsl only has about 300Kb upload speed (or some similar shit)...and the 12Mb wireless I'm thinking of testing only has 1Mb upload (I'd have to check that, but I'm pretty sure it's right).

I almost feel gluttonous sitting here with my 50Mbps. :wacko:

I have a friend that lives in near D.C. and on his bad days he gets 55Mb/s from speedtest. His phone gets that same speed on good days. So bullshit, what takes me hours to download, takes him like 10 mins.

It wasn't really that bad here, enough to have a nice cover but that's about it. It rained most of the day afterwards. Ice was a bit of a problem too. People just don't seem to know how to drive in winter here :P

Hindi will be a little difficult to read quickly for me. Words written in Devanagari are completely connected via a line across the top. The bulk of the alphabet hangs off the "clothesline" as it's called.

I think it's a combination of problems. People don't know how to drive in snow here, and they barely salt the roads at all, so the ice is just atrocious. I don't care if you know how to drive in snow or not, coming down on a pure sheet of ice on a hill is rarely going to end well for anyone. :wacko:

I don't think it was actually four inches, that's just roughly what was on top of my car. It's all frozen solid now, but it basically turns into slush in the middle of the day. It's just the morning and the evenings that are bad. Hopefully we don't get too much more. As much as I love snow, the wet slushy crap we get out here just isn't any fun.

That, and the guy who ploughs my parking lot is terrible at his job, and if we get too much more snow I won't be able to get my car out of my parking stall. :wacko:

I heard it was pretty rough over there. Apparently my dad's commute to work took him almost 3 hours this morning. Or yesterday morning. The email wasn't quite clear.

Also, for some reason I got really excited thinking that it was payday for me today as well. But that's not until tomorrow evening.

According to the news it was pretty much to a standstill really early this morning. Mainly due to buses and trucks not being able to get up hills. Also a fuckton of little accidents all over.
