looks like... umm well..:P
It also looks like the eyes were erased, cause there's a noticable white mask looking spot that makes it look... dreary.... :P
Eyes haven't even been started on, geniuses.
EDIT: But anyway, when I draw the 'real thing' do you guys think it'd be worth it to do a full color version?
Well I prefer color over sketch so sure :P
Please don't show this to anybody else. It's the upcoming messageboard banner for the forum that I'm hosting.
99.8% done entirely with the pen tool in both Photoshop and Illustrator. The .2% really is the layer effects you get for the atmospheric effects of the land and mountains in the background. All original.
I did a little extra and made the logo you see. Because of that, it inspired the admin to finally get to revamping her site, and she's going to use the logo (which is why you would want logos done as vector art thankfully).
Man I love harvest moon. Excellent artwork too, hah. Even tho the fact that it's harvest moon is reason enough to reply

My first REAL render. This was both a test on the material abilities of Cinema 4D and the tweaking abilities of myself. What I was shooting for was a cel shaded material in C4D, and ANY type of tweaking I could possibly pull off. The render and the material aren't too far away from what I was aiming for, but the 2D isn't the best by any means. C&C please...
Thats a nice picture, GFX. Too bad its not 1152x864 else it would make a good wallpaper. :D
Thanks. I did think I would get THAT kind of response, but thanks for that bit of inspiration.

Test for HDRI's and reflections in general. I think it came out well enough. I didn't do any 2D besides the copywrite type thing in the bottom right.
Oh and double post? Yeah I can do that.
That's rad. What program did you use to make it? 3DSmax?Quote:

Nope. Cinema4D RC8. I never really got the hang of 3DSM. I have it, but I never rendered anything worthwhile in it. I'd like to think I can learn something in that program in school though.Quote:

I see. I tried using 3DSMax once, boy was I confused. I guess my strengths are in Photoshop.Quote:

Yeah, 3DSMAX has a very confusing layout. Confusing to the point of near inaccessibility.Quote:

GFX, in the future, post your work in the Show Off thread I just created. This thread's rules state that only drawings should be posted here. We don't want to mix traditional art with digital art. ;)
Will do, sir! Silly me. I think I should read the rules more often, eh? Wow. Had I done that, I would have started my own thread. Thanks for the heads up, bro.Quote:

I really need to get a better digital camera.
Alright. Forgive me. My drawings are bad. And they're unfinished. So...please, lay off me. ;)
EDIT: This is an older one. Unfortunately, I haven't gotten any better over the years. :P
What? That isn't bad at all. Oh, the modesty...
Well, of course it's hard for me to dig my own work. It just looks like crap to me.
Darrell Hinkle?
<omgwtflol/>
Yup. That's my name. So, what do you think of the drawing? :P
EDIT: I forsee my name being made fun of on IRC. :D
Darrell Hinkle... Darrell Hinkle.... I don't like it. I don't like it at all. Change your name, now.
Yes sir. My new name is Ivanovich Dicklenholen Clitsucken.
We should all use our real names.
LIKE OMG AGENT SMITHS NAME IS PMILLER<what?/>
Read my last post. That's my new name. And it's the name I shall adorn on all my newest artworks. :P
EDIT: Not really. They'll all have my real name on them. Love it. Or don't. If you don't, I'll stab you in the eye in your sleep.
I don't sign anything I draw, though I do give autographs to people.
I used to put my sig on stuff back in the day, pretty much by habit. Most of my artistic influences did, and as a noob, so did I. I don't anymore though. You can pretty much differentiate my newer stuff from the old, cause it doesn't have my sig scrawled on it. Doesn't mean the new is any better though. ;)
bet you can't guess my first name. :wacko:Quote:

Pretty funky paper you're drawing that on. What are you using, brush and ink, or what?
Actually it was just computer paper, and I drew the thing out entirely with Sharpie pens of various sizes. I like how it turned out. :)
Here are a couple of pencil sketches I did about a year ago or so.
