Most of that is true but it depends on what chapter of the church of satan you follow. Hard to Explain, the local one here dont do the animal kill as such (Not that i have seen) but they belive that the bible is one sided, The "True" bible aka the 13th chapter tells of the true story of the fall of satan and some other stuff that wasnt talked about in the other bible.Quote:

Think about it, if you enjoy doin all the things that the bible says is wrong and that feels like heaven to you then what would heaven be like when you get there? just the same as down here but 10 times better?

One example comes from science trying to explain the bible. In the bible God parts water with his hand that allows the jews to safely pass through the water, then when Pharohs armies chase after them, god destroys them by withdrawing his hand from the water. Scienctist explain this as a typhoon at the right place at the right time. But the idea that a typhoon pushed water apart for people to pass sounds abusurd.
A non-biblical example would be scientist explaining the origins of the universe. Aparently the univese expanded from the size of a single cell to its present state in one quick, gigantic explosion. What did that? The cell simply exploded? No outside force pushed it to that extent? How did it multiply so fast? If there was an explosion, how did it START life, all explosions I've ever heard of usually involve fire, and fire kills more than it creates.
Well the Bible was written by man. It was a compoundment of numerous books that people wrote. There were numerous books out there that are related to God back then but the people who composed the Bible only took the ones that weren't dissing God. The stories related to God but were badmouthing him and stuff weren't used at all. I believe the Bible was a composition of different wild fictional stories that people made up to explain things that they couldn't explain yet. If you don't believe that how do people get to write these stories anyways of things such at God destroying cities and such. The people that might've written the books were probably killed by God anyways. There might be random travellers wondering around that saw this event, but I somehow doubt that they actually saw god.
Also, how did somebody write up that God made the world anyways? They didn't see it. They certainly weren't alive during it. There certainly weren't likely that there'd be a written language when the universe started. So the only way to transfer the stories would be by mouth. Anybody tried playing that telephone game or whatever with people telling another person what another person said? It's extremely hard to even go in a chain of 5 people saying one sentence to each other nonetheless a whole giant stories comprised of hundreds maybe thousands of words. By then there would be extremely likely to have things that were made up on the spot.
For example: Somebody sees a comet and a big guy on a roof looking at him. He tells somebody about it. The next guy tells somebody else the story and the comet was a meteor to make his story more interesting and the big guy was floating or something. Then it goes on and on and the last guy says the guy was some divine person and the comet has turned into a shower of giant meteors that eventually destroyed the city.
Everybody in the present likes to lie a little to make their stories more interesting. Who knows if the Bible wasn't also just a story that passed on and on from person to person with each person adding little aspects to the story so that it becomes better and better. Eventually people are going to believe the story is true and thus we have the Bible.
And yes I don't believe god exists. We all control ourselves.
Well, you have heard of the dead sea scrolls right? That were from the second century B.C.E? They are acurate to todays transulations, only with grammar and spelling diffrences.
So how do you know that scientist are correct? They've been inaccurate before. Not on everything, but the bible hasn't been entirely inaccurate either. Both have inaccuracies yes, but niether are always right.Quote:
