MAME on Wii
So I noticed there are MAME emulators on the Wii and would hope to get one working because why not right? So I did everything I was supposed to (put on SD Card, put roms in the roms, etc) and my games show up on the list. Great! Problem was when I attempted to play Killer Instinct 1 or 2 it was claiming I didn't have a CHD file but I did for both games.
Where should these files be placed that way I can play it?

Do you have the CHDs in a folder named exactly like the rom and placed in the rom directory?
Do not rename the CHDs, just put them in a folder named the same as the parent rom.

Yeah I had setup everything like i did for my MAME on PC. Even after that nothing it says Missing ROM or CHD.

What version of Mame is the Wii version based on
It has a high chance of it not matching the PC roms or chds because it wants older versions
Easiest way is to get the PC version of MAME that is the same version and create a dat file (or download a dat file) use the dat file in clrmamepro to build a set that works with the Wii port

According to WiiBrew the version of SDL MAME is on 0.125 (by Nuvalo), but there's another MAME made by ToadKing which is on 1.0. The one I got was 1.0 from Toadking.

There is no version 1.0 of MAME so 1.0 refers to the build of that port not what it was ported from that could be any version of MAME.
Grab MAMEUI32 0.125 (UI32 is just a user friendly version of MAME and the 32bit port (they possibly have MAMEUI 0.125 that is the 64bit version but recommend the 32bit version over the 64bit version due to bugs in the 64bit versions))
http://www.progettosnaps.net/mameui_en for older version of MAME, mostly MAMEUI32
The same site has dat files for various version of MAME including 0.125
http://www.progettosnaps.net/dats_en.html
Alot of roms and chd's from 0.125 have changed with newer revisions of MAME that are now up to 0.153

Allright I'll check this out

The best one, which is SDL MAME Wii by Toad King is MAME 0145u.
