How do I run a GDI?

Again I'm on Mac OS X 10.9
I have an ancient Dell Windows desktop, but I don't think it can run much anything.

So, I'm using lx Dream, a Linux emu ported to OS X which I think stopped development a long time ago and I'm trying to run Ikaruga. According to the compatibility list it's playable. I tried using two different CDI's but neither of them worked, so I'm moving on to GDI. Problem is that the unzipped file consists of ikaruga (a bunch of words here).gdi, track01.bin, track02.raw, and track03.bin. How do I run this?

Never heard of Lx Dream but it does not sound like it works with self boot cdi's or gdi's

I would need to know more about the emulator itself to be of any help though, a home page documentation something I can work with.

http://dolphin-emulator.com/download.html is a gamecube/wii emulator though that does have direct OSX ports and should run the game you are after

according to the wiki you just hit the CD icon to select a cdi or gdi, then you hit the green arrow, you do require the 2 bios images though dcboot.rom and dcflash.rom

If that runs the game badly then switch to dolphin (wii/gc emulator for MacOSX) and give the gamecube version a try

I don't know how to run a GDI though. I tried two different CDIs and the emulator instantly gave me a notification that they were bad. The GDI I got off Emuparadise is in four parts

And I've tried running each part, along with the zipped file and get nothing.

extract it and run via the GDI file only, the other files do need to be there as well though as they are read, the GDI file just lets whatever is reading it know what other files are included
