ePSXe / Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage sound and music problem.
I own Spyro 2 but my PS2 is refusing to play PS1 games anymore. So I decided I would rip the game to my hard drive and play it with ePSXe. But I've got sound issues. Partway through one of the initial cutscenes, the sound cut completely out. And once I get into the game, voices aren't playing at all. Also, the game isn't playing any music at all even though I checked the music volume in the game options. It's not even playing the music on the initial screen where you Press Start to start the game.
I'm using ePSXe 1.60 and the Sound plugin I'm using is Eternal SPU Plugin Lite 1.41. I have tried the Non Lite version and a few others but to no avail.
Any ideas?

More about my Sound options:
On the Config Sound page (on the page where you choose a plugin): Enable Sound and Enable CDDA Sound are checked, the other two aren't.
Inside the Configure dialog:
Under "Audio Device": DirectSound with Buffer size of "40"
Under "Audio out method": SPUasync with Async mode "Simple"
Under "Misc": Nothing checked or changed (except the "Wait for XA buffer is free" is checked but it's greyed out)
Under "Special game fix": Nothing is checked
